  1.

The Coppa's are nicely set up. I'm not a fan of the frame mounted fairing personally.

Me either, that fairing looks a little "added on" to me.. not that I would consider changing it if I had one.

I'd say bottom dollar would be around 7500. Whatever someone is willing to pay is what it is worth.  :)

A cursory search showed two sell on eBay: $9-11k

  2.

Is nobody else seeing the Vincent!

haha - funny, I see three dudes holding beers, locked onto two of the most interesting motorcycles ever made . . . :bier:  B)

Actually I cropped the photo. There was another Vincent in the picture. These guys all own Vincents, and most of them have several. But they are getting on in age and the bikes have to go sooner or later.

  3.

Who the hell would want such a limited production bike anyways...

That was sarcasm, right?  These V11s are all limited production bikes. My Scura is one of 700 with a special number plate. Ironically, it's probably the one they made the most of... but nobody really knows...

The bikes with premium Ohlins suspension, such as the Coppa Italiia, will cost you more than a similar condition Greenie - as you said you wanted in an earlier thread.

    Heavy sarcasm.

Is 29 the number they imported into the US?

I intended the T to be my reliable ride to replace the Triumph. I guess that firmly establishes my lack of common sense!

Haha... you are a total nut case. Takes one to know one.

There were a couple clean, low-mile greenies for sale a few months ago. Just keep watching craigslist  -  do you know the search all of craigslist site:  http://www.searchcraigslist.org/

If you don't care about originality, you could repaint a black or silver red-frame model.

Just to give you guys an idea of what a nut case I am... I'm planning on riding the bike to Barber next year. So something like 5k miles. What could go wrong?

Time to find a bike and sort it out.

Then again I should probably sit on one first to see if it actually fit. Anyone in the Portland area mind if I sit on your bike?  B)

  5. I keep a Honda nearby for this very idea that something should be easy, ready, and low demand.

My Sport has been really reliable over its 100,000+ miles only needing a trailer once (broken stator wire), and a jump start once (loose battery positive). Yet, taking on a 16-17 year old Guzzi? I would expect an *acclimation period* to build a happy and predictable "relationship."

Looks like a late model Bonnie could be your most reliable standby?

I intended the T to be my reliable ride to replace the Triumph. I guess that firmly establishes my lack of common sense!

  6. Nice collection   Yes a Greenie would be a nice addition with those bikes.

Too be clear some of them are projects so I have to keep a healthy running bike ratio, especially considering they are mostly British and Italian!

  7. I would say keep the Bonnie and grab a Greenie!  I'm partial to them as you can tell.  That way like footgoose said if one is down for maintenance you have the option to get on the other.

That's if the "Control Tower" will allow more than one motorcycle in the garage

I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough, there are four full bikes in the garage. The Triumph won't be missed. I love it but I got a bad case of Guzzi lust after getting the 850T.

There's a Bevel Ducati, the 850T, the Triumph and the Norton. Plus a basket case AJS... then at another location is my Bultaco Sherpa T and the other Norton... well, you get the picture.

So a Greenie would just make a nice addition.

  8. You know, with the red frame? Yeah, that one.

I'm trying to sell my Triumph to free up the bike money for the V11.

We finally had a nice day around here so people with think about riding. Maybe I'll have better luck then.

    That won't matter if I can't find a V11, the V11!

Is that really asking too much?

  9. those wheels should be gray.

    as in the color gray.

    according to the dictionary:  gray

color intermediate between black and white, as of ashes or an overcast sky or V11 Sport wheels.

You can't argue with the dictionary.  Look it up if you don't believe me.

This is the internet, we argue about everything.

  10. But it's in the back of a truck, how humiliating for a greeny

    Pod filters

Mistral cans - the finest kind.

    Like mine

    But note

    It

    still

    has

    an

    electric

    petcock

    HaHa

It was at a swap meet so it may have been for sale, just sold or something. I'd give it a pass for the ride this time.

  11.

If I end up with a V11 it will be green with a red frame...

I narrowed it down to green, how much more narrow can I get?  :glare:

    :oldgit:

I should consider reading things...  :homer:

Totally overrated! If I had read things I would have know that the green ones aren't called LeMans! Well, I did read it, it just didn't retain...

  12. I saw one of those advertised recently. It also had red wheels and the ad said something about the red wheels being unique to a limited edition. I had not heard of a limited edition greenie before... anyone else?

swooshdave - sounds like you already know you want a V11 as your next bike. Now to narrow it down...

I narrowed it down to green, how much more narrow can I get?  :glare:

  13. I'm one of those lurkers from Wild Guzzi, you know, with one of those old bikes and looks longingly at these fancy new ones...

I snapped a pic of this bike at the Oregon Vintage Motorcyclist show last May in Corvallis. The event has been going on some 35 years. I was wondering if anyone recognized this bike and perhaps the owner? If I end up with a V11 it will be green with a red frame...
