A lot of discussion here, could the noise/ rattle be piston slap, im well versed in that sense running hp 2 strokes, it can be present at idle and increase with speed and load. Sloppy pistons can be noisey. (Detonation sounds like a can full of steel balls, and usually caused by a lean condition at high rpms) Just a thought, maybe check rings and piston clearances, small end cages, pins etc.

I use bb's in the bars of my kawi triples, these bikes can buzz kill your hands and fingers quick, and it works pretty good.The trick here is not to pack too tightly so as to allow the added mat'l vibrate to cancel the bar vibration. By adding solid weights, this may only change the vibration frequency, the vibes are still there just faster or slower. Its like the way huge wieghts are put in the top of very tall buildings to counter sway. So ya, fishing split shot or bb's may do the trick, its simple science for little cost. Give it a try and report back on your resaults, its trial and error, add or remove the shot untill desired results are met. Im not avocated a single solution just an old school trick. Cheers

Being a history buff, I went through the mountain of paper work that came with the V11, turns out it was originally owned by Shawn Baldwin of SC. Sold into Canada, 2008. Cool knowing the history of a vehicle.

Where can I find a factory oem tool kit complete for my 2000 v11 sport??

Q. is there a stand alone unit avail for these bikes like with cars? I have an icarsoft for my volvo xc, it`d be cool if something like that was avail for these bikes. Just curious.

Not sure how to load pics here, as most know photo f**ket has pooched most of us, and most of my on hand files are too big to load direct. Im not corrently hooked up with any other hosting site, kind of lost interest in that aspect thanx to photo bucket. Are there other options, resizing to 200kb seems pointless.

Hello all, just joined up, Looks like a great forum lots of great reads so far and tons of info. Im in Ont Canada, I own a 2000 v11 sport greenie, Picked it up last month, 20k miles. Love this bike, its a blast, no issues other than a leaky bevel drive seal, getting that looked after this week. It's pretty much stock other than carbon cans, high polished pork chops, handle bar conversion and a back rest for the wife. Im finding it hard to give my other two vintage triples the luv they deserve, oh well they'll get over it. I've owned ducs in the past, the last being a 749 testarosa, but this guzzi is way more fun, from cruise to crotch rocket if need be. My first impression was wow incredible torque, this thing could pull stumps like a tractor..... Glad to be here and Im sure I'll be needing some help/advice in the future. Cheers
