  3. cheers Docc no charging at all, yes i have an odyssey battery, reads 12.5v ignition off. Its quite a new battery ( 1 year). All connections are clean, the reg rec earth was grubby but not now, i think i should order a new reg rec ? on the existing one it says ducati 343637

  5. Hi folks I check the 30a fuse every so often because of the melting issue, yesterday it had melted a bit again so i replaced it and went for my ride. While i was out the red charging light came on, bike was running fine so i got home ok. checked with a meter, sure enough , not charging. i checked the reg rec earth and cleaned it up, i checked the alternator yellow wires, still attached ok, not sure what to do next, while i was out i checked the fuse again (just showing a mate) and the fuse box was hot, not sure if this is a tell tale. i have read all the info on this amazing forum, but just need reassuring i am doing the right thing. thanks in advance. i am thinking new reg rec ? hope its not alternator cos they seem rare.

  8. Thanks.. Switch fitted, new oil, new fuel tank to pump fuel line seems ok too. All good now..lights out as it should be.
  9. Thanks folks, I will order a new switch tommorrow. Got the old one off and i am now replacing the tank to pump fuel hose. This forum is great. I would be lost without it
  10. Hi folks, I started the bike today and the oil light was on, through the revs, not flickering, on solid. Searched this great site... Took sump off, filter tight. No recent oil changes ( so not 2 filter gaskets ) Nothing horrid in the sump and strainer clear Oil level fine. Refitted sump. Tried to remove oul pressure switch but seems tricky without removing tank. ( sundays job ) Any pointers would be great, is it likely to be the switch ( when i pull the wire off the light goes out ) Or something else ? Cheers

  12. Just a quick question, can i run 5 pin relays in all the positions ? I know only one needs 5 pins, but will a five pin work in the others. ( cutting down which spares to carry )

  15. I carry spare relays under the seat, and i changed the pump one at the side of the road, didnt work. Can relays be intermittent ? Cos i put the original back after it didnt appear to be the issue.( original being an omron not original original )
