    V11 seat wanted

I'm looking for a decent V11 seat. Also looking for any n.o.s. '86 Yamaha SRX6 parts you guys may have sitting around the shop. Wick
  2. I put the MRA screen on my Nero Corsa. It is a quality piece and works well. I once put a superlow screen on my old K100RT Parabellum setup that replaced the original cheesegrater for summer use. It made the bike look really good, but didn't smooth the airflow down as much as you would think. I do know what your talking about in reference to the "sweet spot". If I raised my head up and back as far as possible, it was calm and quiet with the original screen. The real answer may be to open up the bottom of the screen to let some air in and improve the overall aerodynamics in regards to laminar flow and pressure areas. Wick
  3. Be carefull using loctite around these screens. Some plastics have a bad reaction and start cracks around the hole even when there is little pressure on the fastener. Wick
  4. I sent an Evoluzione peg set back to Todd Haven after deciding I didn't like the change. You might call MPH and see if it is available. Wick
  5. My V11Sport Naked 02/03 came with the Bridgestones. They are o.k. but not particularly awe inspiring. My Nero Corsa Lemans came with Metzler Sport Tec's and they are so much better than the B020's. Wick
  6. Besides the connecting rod bearing issue that was fixed under warranty, MPH also took care of my failing rear wheel bearings. Wick
  7. I had the same warranty work done at MPH for knocking noises that developed in about 2000 miles. Turned out to be the rod bearings. '03 V11 Sport Naked bought from Orange County. Really, it's an '02 with the pad on the tank and external fuel pump. The paperwork says '03, but everyone knows better. My cases haven't bubbled yet, but I'm expecting it. I also expect that there are many of the V11 Sports in that vintage that are timebombs for this same problem. It's a knocking noise that kinda sounds like it is a valve problem at first, then gets really loud. Wick
  8. Great looking bike in a like-wise great location, Wick
  9. I finally got off my ass and finished the setup on my Nero Corsa Lemans. Uninstalled the evoluzzionne peg relocating kit. Too hard to shift after moving the pegs down and rearward and it shifted my weight back forward on the grips. Then I put on the MRA windshield. Superb workmanship, great materials, packaged well and fit perfectly. Looks good too, with the dark tint. Wick
  10. If you get the Stucchi, I believe there was some one selling different size windscreens to fit the fairing. They do look better than the Guzzi o.e.m. fairing. Wick
  11. I've got a set of the Williamsville risers. I waited a long time to get them, as they are machined one at a time. None of this CNC, turn the machine on, come back later and and clean it up for shipment on these risers, no, no. They are incredibly well made. As are my MPH risers on my N'Corsa. However, they were more expensive than my MPH risers with less rise, took longer to get and have much less adjustment capability. Would I get rid of either? Absolutely not. I appreciate all the engineering and value of both. However, if I were to set up another V11variant with a riser mod (which I will), I will again go for the MPH. So, if you aren't happy with your MPH parts, please let me know. I am looking for a ste, I mean deal!!! Wick
  12. Hey MotoGeezer, I messaged you about your MPH parts. Be glad to take them off your hands! Wick
  13. I need a set of mirrors for the Quota that have better glass in them. The stock mirrors look like they are from a carnival fun-house. I know that FAR makes a bunch of different mirrors for all motorcycles and if anyone has a suggestion, I'll take it. Buell mirrors??? Wick
  14. I have the MPH bar risers on my Nero Corsa and I'm very happy with them. Wick
  15. How about a couple of photos... Wick
  16. My '03 V11 Sport Naked bike had a connecting rod bearing failure going into the 2000 mile mark. Sent the bike to MPH and they did a superb job of getting it sorted out completely. Other warranty work included fork seal repair and bearings in the rear wheel. Bike runs great now. Thanks to all at MPH in Houston!!! Wick
  17. I have the carbon M4's on my V11 Sport and new Lemans Nero Corsa. It sounds great, isn't too loud and works with the standard FI setup. Mike Haven told me that there was a fix for the fairly obnoxious M4 logo on the pipes, however, I haven't seen the new decal as yet. Wick
  18. Less of us with Nero's. Wick
  19. Anybody have anything to say about this replacement windscreen on the LeMans?? Any comments pro or con would be helpful. Thanks, Wick
  20. I sent my '03 V11 Sport down to MPH in Houston for a ticking noise that sounded like valve noise, but loud. Mike Haven has told me that when the engine was examined, he found a bad connecting rod bearing was making the noise. Just on one side, wierd, but under warranty. Bike had 2k miles on it. While it is there they are going through everything to make sure the bike is sound. Had some clicking noises from the rear of the bike begin prior to the engine noise problem. Love the bike though and bought a Nero Corsa from MPH as second Guzzi. Wick
