  1. I took delivery of my 03 LeMans today. It was a left-over with only 8 miles on it. Upon returning from it's maiden voyage this evening, I noticed it was difficult to shift into 3rd. Problem does not improve as I continue towards the house. Hmmm......is the spring getting ready to break? Once I turn onto my street i start rowing throught the gears to see whats going on. Pull into my drive, put it in 1st, pull up to the garage and go to put it in neutral but can't becasue I'm stuck in 1st gear. 47 miles I'm actually glad it happened.....and I couldn't ask for it to happen in a better place. Now I know I have a spring boss thats too big so now I won't have to investigate to see if it's too big. Edit: Well I was able to eventualy get it into neutral eventually after yanking on the lever with my arm, but the shifting problems came back after another ride. Opend up the gear box and found everthing is seemingly fine....measured the infamous spring boss and it's 14.909mm, spring doesn't bind. Guess I'll play with that adjustment screw under the achorn nut right beside the selector lever.
  2. Well, most of you probably never knew I was here before. I had a 03 LeMans that I sold in late 05.....I thought my newly aquired FJR would satisfy all my desires and let the LeMans go. Well, I've found a BMW GS-Adv satisfies my touring needs better and the FJR is gone. I missed my LeMans and I just sealed the deal for a left over, never used 03 LeMans at Moto International. It'll be here maybe as early as the end of next week.
  3. Got any left? I'd like a set if you do.
  4. Hmmm...That bike looks familiar. How's it working out for you?

  6. Natives (I'm in Kentucky, redneck land extraordinaire. )
  7. Great! I was hoping that was it. Not that I'm aware of. Yesterday it was the opposite, tank pressurization. Thanks
  8. So I go for out for a ride today. It's sunny and in the upper 70's....the warmest weather the bike has seen since I got it last fall. I decided to stop for lunch. After lunch I go to leave and find the bike will not start without twisting the throttle. Also that it wont run without holding the throttle open. After riding a few minuets, it would idle on it's own. On the way home I stopped by my parents. When leaving I had the same problem, a minuet after being in motion...everything is fine. Is this vapor lock? My bike is an 03 with the fuel pump in the tank. All the vapor lock search results I read pertained to earlier V11's with the external pump....no mention of this happening on an 03 or newer. The fuel lines are not resting on a cylinder or anything like that. The closest one is about 2" from the right cylinder. The only thing I noticed is that the fuel tank was pressurized.....is it supposed to be? I decided to remove the EVAP canister and I'll remove the tipover valve tomorrow. Any other newer V11's experience this? Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks, Clay
  9. You're not....unless I am too I'm going to do the same thing.....Get some Mistral Aluminum ovals and a PC111

  13. Jim. Do you know if your Centauro has the Creedon chip? I highly recommend it if it doesn't.

Getting the wheel off was pretty straight forward, no problems once I found the tools. I don't have any tire changing equipment (yet) so i had the local honda dealer do it. Haven't ordered the bell yet, I need to get on that.

Hey John. I'm loving the LeMans. Haven't been able to spend as much time on it as I'd like though. Between crappy weather, crazy work hours, and a nail in the rear tire at 650 miles, I've only been able to put on 875 miles the month I've had it. Not too bad I guess. I'll shoot ya an e-mail sometime.
