  1. Just leave the hoses that are connected to the carbs on, & dont block them off. At least thats what I've done today. I will bow down to those who really know what they're talking about You'll be shocked at the difference, especially if you have pods I think.
  2. I removed the denso emission canisters today & wow! That did what I wanted my k&n air pods to do. My bike runs so much smooother & builds revs so much faster & easier I find it hard to believe. I did leave the hose connected to the carbs that connects the two. I hope most of you understand that lol its like a coupler I think. A good steak knife makes removing all that hose soooo much easier! Just dont let your wife catch you with kitchen knives in the garage. Plus now I have a little extra space under my seat for the toolbag.
  3. I broke the little knob on my kickstand switch i've read the posts on how to bypass this switch & thats fine...temporarily. I'm too scared to permanently ride without it though lol. Does anyone know if I can just get any other switch & splice it in or do I have to get the official oem kickstand switch? P.s. if your going to move your bike around while your working on it please put the kickstand up first :!: Trust me that little friggin knob is easy to bend, then it just breaks off
  4. I wondered what those canisters were under my seat :!: I'll have to remove them pronto & help speed up global warming. I would really love to be able to ride an extra month a year or so!
  5. My Rosso Mandello's clutch rattles in nuetral when the clutch lever is not pulled in. When I pull in the lever it quiets right down. If you dont count the tappety valves & high idle engine noise lol Dont worry about the single plate clutch theyre fine (except when they explode through the tranny case ) Which almost never happens
  6. I have Allstate insurance & they asked me about accesories for replacement value. At the time all I had was the tekno bags so I stated their value @ $500 I think. I assume that increases my premium slightly, but if its stolen I will be reimbursed the bags too. Btw lets do a comparo of rates in different countries. Standard liability for me is about $300 for 12 months. I'd love to hear what the outragous rates are in europe. If its anything like the cost of gasoline....I'll take my vacation here in the states lol

    fork oil

Just how do you replace the fork oil? Is there a link with pix & instructions? My bike is starting to occasionally squeak over bumps
  8. Al is right about the Rosso Mandello's having the guard, mine does have one. If you want a really cool/kickass looking oil cooler guard look at this sites sponsors. They have some mind blowing stuff...including oil cooler guards.
  9. Alas! My ignition was loose too! Unfortunately one of the screws fell out Does anyone who has already had to buy a new screw remember what size it was & how long? The other screw of course is still in & I'd rather leave it in there lol. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated :!:

    ALARMMMMM

I would bet that you'll get your bike back. Like everyone says, its too rare to sell, even the parts are unique. I just hope that it comes back in good condition & soon.
  12. I stopped to help a couple guys today while I was riding my bike. This guy & his friend both had new scooters & one wouldnt start. He had full electric power...lights,turn signals, but no brake light! I told him that it was probably a bad relay unit, & that since he had to hold the brake to start it the computer wasnt getting the signal that the brake was being applied. They said they were both close to home & they would be fine so I went home. Any opinions as to my advice? I'm no mechanic but I'm a v11lemans frequent visitor I know the quality of those relays poor guy...that thing had just 400 miles on it, I told him to buy a few extra relays & keep them in the scooter somewhere. Come to think of it I should take my own advice & get some relays too!
  13. Is it just me or does the bike not look very Italian anymore? It does look like they're taking styling cues from BMW The V11 tank is a classic Guzzi design & they kept none of that I cant read the Italian but the engine design still looks cool. I've said it before...they need much more displacement if they want to compete in the current marketplace. 1100cc is a toy cruiser here in the states now.
  14. I dont think they are available new anymore. I have the Tekno bags & they are very nice I would highly recommend those.
  15. I agree that should release a streetbike version for 15k. I dont know if I'd get one...at least not right away. On the other hand I'm sure a dealer would be happy to take my barely used RM in on trade. Get the hint there in Italy? Wake up & smell the octane :!: Also if they watch this site Italy theres no replacement for displacement...bump it up to at least 1600cc for the cruisers if you want to sell more. Everyone else started that game at least 5 years ago. 1064cc just isnt what it used to be.
  16. Too bad you dont live in Ohio. I know a dealer here that charges $40 an hour, I'd give them a free plug but I dont know if they want it.
  17. Yeah whats the price tag on those mirrors? I neeeed them lol. If you got them online please post the address. My Rosso Mandello stock mirrors are awful...it looks like the paint is bubbling up with rust underneath.
  18. All of a sudden I feel very patriotic :!: I'd love to see a lot more of her
  19. I doubt anyone could get "suckered" out of that much money. However it is an odd listing for ebay. It makes me wonder why someone would post a bike like that with a price that high. Pride maybe??? Look at meeee everybody That or its someone with a nice pic of his buddies bike playing a practical joke on him.
  20. Congratulations Jim :!: The pictures sure do look good Well I guess I'll just have to wait patiently for that link to hear it
  21. Now that you mention it they should fit as long as the TB's are not larger than a v11's. Or extremely smaller (I doubt it). In any case its a cool mod & cheap too...Less than a hundred. They just screw on the TB's with a hose clamp
  22. Its an rc 1200 & I dont know if it will fit a Centauro. Probably not though
  23. Maybe try about 5k rpm in the tight turns? 6 sounds a little high maybe
  24. I'm sure I'll enjoy working on the bike in the near future when it warms up & I get a proper stand for it. Working in the dark when its 12 degrees out just isnt pleasant. Anyway the bike runs like a top even the bar grips arent too bad. I'm taking it in for its 1000 mile service soon. I'm going to ask them to check it for grease as I've heard Luigi doesnt believe in it in Mandello. Anything else major to see into for the break in service that I should look into?
