  1. The damage stayed contained in the tranny housing this time? No blowouts?
  2. I'll probably go to Mid Ohio this year. Its only a half hour ride for me Let us know how those cans sound!
  3. Thats a relief. If that happened to my bike I think I'd
  4. Wow :!: What are you doing to that poor bike? lol You didnt have one of those crappy flywheel/clutches did you? I like the price of that filter you have, but I think the K&N looks way cool & thats what I'm after. I was going to get a Hayabusa before I picked up my RM. The bike has good enough power, but I like it for the style & handmade exclusivity.
  5. Ouch :!: Thats the same flywheel/clutch setup as mt Rosso Mandello right? Did it say what the cause of the damage was? Oh well I just hope its one out of thousands of good flywheels
  6. I just ordered a pair for about $95. Should be fun putting them on
  7. I would like to know if you got that pod on a website? If you did could you tell me how to get it? I've tried K&N's website & cant find it. Thanx Richard
  8. I just went through the air pods thread & found what I wanted. The K&N pod that fits right on the TB. It looks really cool without the side covers! Now I just have to buy the filters & wait for warmer weather! Btw does the bike have to be remapped with the pod setup?
  9. I took the side covers off my RM today because they are probably not replaceable if damaged. I like the more bare look a lot! Of course theres some sort of airbox contraption hooked up to the carbs. Sorry it got dark out & I had to quit playing with it lol. My question is do I need to remove the tank? At this point the answer is almost certainly yes. I assume the airbox is under the tank & thats when I'll get a better idea of what to do. If anyone has some nice side pics of the k&n filter setup I'd really appreciate it if you'd post me a link

    Winter

Argh :!: The weather forecast here in Ohio says my bike will be parked for the next week solid I may as well work 7 days a week right now. At least it would keep my mind off the bike & vacation (sort of). I get 4 weeks paid vacation this year & I've been torturing myself in here plus looking at cool bike riding roads in the tri state area. Hopefully my wont have too many gremlins when I decide to take a week off & just goooo. I just have to remind myself to check the areas that may need top be greased. Its too damned cold out in my garage to play with it much right now.
  11. That sounds like a really good idea Jim Heres what I think happened at the factory.... Hey Luigi you gotta those numba plates ready? Whaddaya mean numba plates? I dont know nuttin bout no stinkin number plates! If a anyone asks justa givem one a dese lol have a good one
  12. Lol Thanx Jim :!: I was hoping someone else with a Mandello would notice That sort of bothered me that there was a place for a logo...but no logo. It is odd though
  13. I have the limited edition #74. It says that on the sides but no # plate there.
  14. I was just curious about the carbon fibre instrument cluster area. I have noticed that some other guzzis have the eagle emblem in the center area. My bike has a raised area where the logo should be....but no eagle Has anyone else with a Mandello noticed this?
  15. God I just love this site :!: If I can think of it someones already done it, & knows all about it Thanx guys
  16. I was thinking about getting the fbf eliminator kit, so I looked at my bike. The tekno bag mounts are attached to the rear fender! Will I have to remove the bags & brackets to have the eliminator kit? What a shame! I love those bags too....I plan on travelling this summer. Any advice or thoughts on this?
  17. Have you ever considered being the greeter at WalMart? I'm just kidding! You should definitely just go get something & I mean ANYTHING else. Move if you have to.
  18. What is a val 1 with heads up display? Sounds like I might need one! lol

Thanx for the advice Whitaker : ) I checked it the way you said & its right on the full line. I guess that meant it was a quart low

    Winter

Almost 60 degrees yesterday. I had time to get the bike out, adjust the suspension, check the oil with that crappy dipstick Oh btw my Mandello has just under 500 miles on it. Is it unusual to need about a quart of oil during break in? I put a quart in it & it brought the level to where I hope it should be. I'm going to go check it again today while its cold. Ok I'll check back in later. Richard

    fuses

Thanks for the help guys I checked all the other fuses & they are the right ones. How many of you pulled the seat off & checked yours? lol I was thinking a lower amp fuse than what is called for wont hurt anything. But if they put a 30 amp where a 10 amp goes....now that may cause some damage :!:
  24. Sounds like high 80's hp is the most you can reasonably get from these motors without spending big money. Thats fine with me, a duc is a duc, & a Goose is a Goose lol If speed was all I wanted I couldve gotten the Hayabusa for about the same or less money.
