    fuses

Your probably right about the "whatever is at hand" thing. I work in a factory & that does happen! 15 amps may be a lot but thats what the box cover & the manual both say should be in that slot. I just came back in from a short ride.....about 3 miles, & it seems fine. Page 166 of the owners manual says slot f5 high beams, low beams, start, stop (15a). I dont want to damage a new bike in any way :!: If anyone else knows of this please post me a note

    fuses

I just checked my fuses after my bike wouldnt start. Turns out the headlamp fuse burned out. There was a 10 amp fuse in there, and the manual & fuse box cover clearly state that it takes a 15 amp fuse. After I put in the "right" 15 amp fuse it cranked right up. Anyone else notice this problem?? I wonder why it ever worked right in the first place? Probably just part of the break in aka fixing the factories errors Now let me just hope that single plate clutch is good... lol
  3. Isnt it always like that in Denmark? Just kidding
  4. I would love to see 4 valve heads on the market for $1000 a piece! I'm not a mechanic, but dont you have to get a new cam to go with them plus you know lol that while its apart your going to wanna drop in higher compression pistons etc. I can see it getting near $5k real fast
  5. Just got back from riding around town. My Mandello is getting closer to 500 miles on it & that thing is just getting smoother & better with every mile I'm so happy I picked for my next bike. I dont know if its going to have any of the problems the other 01's have had, but for now I think they got this one right I hope its warmer tomorrow, I'm going to try a little around the corners. I'm startting to see why you guys are so passionate about your bikes :!: The only thing I dont understand is why everyone doesnt have one lol
  6. I'm not planning anything......yet lol Maybe when the bike has 30k miles on it I may. I didnt know there were such kits available. As for now I need to pay the bike off first, worry about the bolt on goodies later

    Winter

I hear you man :!: I'm right down the road from you here in Ohio & I cant wait to get my Rosso out. I just bought it last friday & rode it home on Superbowl Sunday. Now it just sits in the garage teasing me. I keep checking the weather channel lol but it does no good
  8. How many people would buy an aftermarket 4 valve head kit with all the other parts that would need to go with it, for a 120 rwhp v11? How much I wonder would we be willing to pay for that kind of performance? Lets say it was $5000 usd Who would go for it?
  9. Is there any truth that MG is not going to make the LeMans series anymore?
  10. Thanx for the link Lex My bike is a 2001 so its out of warranty, but it only has 400 miles on it so its still in the break in period.
  11. Try CycleTrader.com if you want a new Rosso Corsa. Theres a new 03 in California, and an 04 in Atlanta. Those are the ones I know of
  12. Thanx for the info : ) I went with 35 & 36 psi front & rear. What a difference! Its been 8 years since I've owned a bike. it rides so much better I didnt want to put it away. Too bad its cold & wet here, plus I dont have a licsence plate yet either lol
  13. I'm going to do it later, probably the next sunny day. About 35 psi I think is right I'll have to recheck Storms post though
  14. I just check my tires pressure on Storms advice. Gues what...theres 15lbs in the front & the rear ! No wonder the bike rides so hard lol. Btw Storm, did your Rosso come stock with Bridgestone Battlaxes? Thats what mine has...I figured they would come with Pirellis
  15. Hey Storm, thanx for the useful info! I'm going to check the tires now. Thats a relief about the oil filter too. Btw what kind of filter do you use? Weather permitting I'll have 1000 miles on it eventually lol
  16. I got the bike out today & spent about ten minutes on it. Too bad I wanted more :!: Well I figured out the steering lock Man that clutch rattles in neutral :!: I hope/guess thats normal though. Like just about everyone else I need to fix the vibes in the bars. I think just some bar weights & sponge grips should be enough for my taste. Btw Where should I go to get an oil filter for the bike? Online aftermarket site? Well next time I'm going to adjust the clutch lever handle. Later gaters
  17. Love the torque The front end feels a little squirrelly Hmm I need to know where to get a tool for the oil filter thing It seems to be a great cold weather bike for the small fairing. I cant wait for the warm weather :!: Oh well thats all I can remember right now, catch ya later! Richard
  18. Those Quat d pipes look hot! Anyone know how much they cost & where to get them?

    Hi

Hey everyone, I'm a 36 y/o guy in the Ohio Usa area. I just bought a Rosso Mandello, I love to ride & this is my first Guzzi. I'm picking it up tomorrow am. I hope I dont freeze my hands off getting it home! Its a 60 mile trip in 45 degree weather so it shouldnt be too bad. I just love the look of Italian bikes & I bought this one without even riding it! As it only has 315 miles on it I wasnt worried about it being worn out :!: Btw I just love this emoticon I laughed my @$$ off the first time I saw it. I was wondering if there is a subscription fee for this site to be a Goldmember? If someone could let me know about that I'd appreciate it, as this is a valuable site for Guzzi owners I would like to support it. Well if theres anyone else from around the Ohio area let me know! We can all hook up & go riding OK talk to all of you again soon..... Richard
  20. Thank you again! lol Maybe I should wait until after I bring the bike home tomorrow to spin the wheel & or try on some red wings
  21. Oh boy, the Magni is what I really want! I'll have to save some big cash though. Its about $1600
  22. I was just wondering if anyone could give me a website name for a good looking fairing for my Rosso Mandello. The stock carbon fiber cafe thing isnt my style
  23. Hey I'd like to say thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome here! I cant wait to pick the bike up this weeekend and ride it, maybe even wash it lol
