Beautiful weather here today :!: I just put a hundred miles on the bike. It now has about 800 miles on it. The bike is getting smoother/quieter better. I'm starting to get the thing :!: Now I'm getting the fever lol I want a Maund seat, Mistral pipes, or Termi's if I can afford em. I neeeed these chrome rims with anodized spokes the same red as my tank. That & a few other things & I'll be set lol. Btw I ordered a Dainese TH1 leather jacket, anyone have any experience with dainese jackets? They seem like the best so thats what I got. Oh I also got these Icon TiMax gloves & they are very nice....lots of titanium plates on the knuckles. I call em my Darth Vader gloves

Ok as long as its not just me :!: I dont mind the noise...its sort of cool in a mg way Kind of like that rattling noisy clutch when it cold & in nuetral.

I removed the airbox myself lol. However I did it in the dark with a flashlight so it was a little hard to see by the time I was done. I know there is an oil breather tube, but I dont know where it is. I guess I'll go out today & have a better look at it in the daylight. Its going to be about 45 degrees. Woohoo what a heatwave :!:

My front brakes make an odd whining/whirring kind of sound. Is this normal? They sure work like they're supposed to though . Any advice???

Its the wire with the blue on the end of it dangling by the carb. Its attached to the fuel tank. What should I do with it?

I love that red frame! I wish my RM had the red frame. Thats the same k&n setup as I have. That tank protector is cool too. I have some cheap pos small one.

I agree with you. They make the tank look even better w/o the airbox. It even makes cleaning much easier, not to mention adjusting the rear shock is a snap. The bikes are as much art as function....I prefer not to cover the frame/rear shock & such with plastic.

Same as mine rc 1200 k&n. You need to close the gas knob thing on the tank side first lol. Putting the filters on was like butter though wasnt it?

What kind of pods do you have Ben?

It may well be worth it :!: That airbox weighs a few lbs...gone. My bike starts almost immediately in the cold....something it wouldnt do before. The sound is pretty cool, its like you can really hear/feel the engine sound without that airbox in the way. I cant wait for a chance to ride it. Ok I'll update you later

I just finished installing k&n pods on my RM :!: . As it it snowing right now I cant ride it to see the difference However it does start much easier than before. It sounds louder/better And it seems to rev easier than before. Unfortunately I had to do most of it in the dark tonight with only a flashlight so I cant really get a good look at it until tomorrow night after work. For anyone who wants to do this, its pretty easy...just know that there are 2 allen head screws on either end of the airbox that you will need to remove to get it out That took me 15 minutes to find in the dark lol I'll take some pictures soon and post them. I havent seen any Rm's with that mod yet here.

Can anyone tell me where I can get a good tank bra to fit my v11 at least half the tank? I couldnt find one for a Guzzi on Ebay I'm thinking about getting a pair of Gore Tex Cordura armored pants & I dont want to abrade that pretty Mandello red paint :!:

I was riding my RM today (in 30 degree weather), it just turned 500 miles. I stalled it out leaving a light. Of course with it being pretty cold I was wearing very bulky winter gloves. Anyway I started it back up & popped the clutch....wow! The front end came off the ground, then I hit second pretty hard & the rear end actually broke loose :!: I thought the front end was going to come back up again but it didnt. The rear end just slid a little to the right, caught traction, straightened back up & barreled off like a bat out of hell. Pretty impressive seeing as how I didnt break 5500 rpm. Maybe it was the cold weather...anyone elses v11 do that?

Btw I'm a little jealous as I was wanting a Rosso Corsa The Mandello I bought was just too sweet to walk away from. Hey are you from the Ohio area? If you are we can hook up for a ride this year/ compare notes on our Guzzis.

Some day soon I'm going to ride all the way to San Diego from Ohio! Then I'm going to go up the Pacific Coast Highway all the way to Canada, then finally home. Should take about a month....whaddaya think, good idea?
