1. Where the heck is everyone getting their magni fairings?  I have emailed magni, and a couple of other vendors listed here on the forum and no one is responding to my emails.  Does anyone know where I can buy one of these fairings and how much they cost?

    Thanks

Sorry but I dont think you can get a new one anymore :huh2: When you could I think they were about $1600. I may be wrong about this as you may want something other than what I'm thinking of

  2. Any speak itilian maybe they could change thier design just a little bit they'd have a lot more sales of it and I can't imagine it being all that hard. I know I'd buy one I just want it to be a lil balanced and I'd like it if the thing sounded a little less tinny but I'd live with it I suppose. I'm all about the symetry like jordans perfectly round melons.... Mmmm melons....

Is that your wife Ben?:notworthy: I wouldnt have time to ride...the bike that is :race:

  3. As Paul points out, no, this is simply a black Le Mans.

The Nero Corsa has Ohlins suspension, and a more subtle gray checkerboard and black paint scheme.

It also has the red valve covers

  4. Folks:  I live about 80 miles southeast of the National site on the WV/PA border.  Anyone traveling to or from the rally is welcome to camp here.

I live in the country, complete with a beautiful view of the valley-- moocows, hummingbirds, coyotes, deer, and circling turkey buzzards.  Easily room for 6 non-crowded tents in different parts of the yard, or 15 or so more crowded.  Outdoor grill, indoor shower, plenty of cold beer around the fire pit.

No mansion here, I live in a crappy old trailer (no sissy modular or double-wide, either!) but the garage is secure.  My priorities are straight.

In fact the Guzzisti are welcome to stay anytime-- I rode rte. 50 in WV yesterday and it was fantastic.  Many twisties and swithchbacks up and down our mountains and no cops all day.    :race:

Just PM me, and I will send you my phone #.

      Ride safe, but fast,

Just what weekend is that rally? I live in Canton Oh & may just drop in to say hi.

  5. Alright I went out & got a vacuum gauge & got it a lot closer to right than it was. At least its ridable now...I'll just take it to a dealer with better equipment & know how. One side reads 8hg & the other side reads about 10 or 11. At least I'm back to the less occasional cough mostly near idle. Oh & btw I also found out today that my old truck blew a timing chain so I spent the rest of the day tearing that greasy old thing apart :bbblll: I'll be another 2 hours at that tomorrow :luigi:

  6. What tough spot exactly? The injectors may go out of sync slightly, but in my opinion, not enough to stick garden hoses in the intakes, and the synching by feel probably puts the bodies more "out" than before :2c:

Just suck it up Princess and buy some vacuum gauges....AND STOP TURNING THE WHITE KNOB.

This animosity brought to you by a broken bike in the garage :moon:

    49133

Ok Ok I'm doen with the white knob :!: It should be fixed later today

  7. Ohh boy  That little white knob is becoming a major pain in my ass :!: I tried to fix the slight cough the bike had & now its backfiring. The only thing I'm turning or have ever turned is that little white knob :bbblll: I guess I'll need to get a vacuum gauge & see what the deal is.

  8. Thanks guys :bier: I knew where the idle screws were because I still have the owners manual. But I couldnt find that white knob in the manual...so of course I had to give it a few turns to see what would happen :stupid: I dont know if I've gotten it back perfectly but it runs good so :huh2: I'll let it be for awhile & see. Btw my odometer hit 2000 miles today :mg: I was cleaning the bike today & had the pipes off so of course I started it up just to see. Now I need louder pipes, that thing sounds sweet unmuffled :!: Like I posted earlier if anyone has a set of non carbon mufflers let me know.

  9. These are not carbs, they are throttle bodies with injectors. The white nylon thumb nut on the linkage adjusts the throttle synch not the idle speed.

Thanx Nogbad :notworthy: Thats what I thought it was. I was playing with it earlier today & now my bike has a slight occasional cough in the lower rpms. I'll have to get out there & put it back to the way it was. (whatever that is  )

  10. What is it about the Guzzi kickstands? Lol I dropped my Rosso Mandello about 2 weeks ago, thought I had put the kickstand down, got off & of course it went right over! :homer: fortunately I still had hold of it when I realized it was going down. I couldnt believe it but there was no damage, mostly because it hit the grass instead of pavement & not very hard because I was trying to stop it from falling. I havent had a bike in about 9 years so these things do happen I guess. My riding skills & the bike seem to get better every time I ride though.

  11. The reservoirs are holding up fine, but the little plastic sight windows tend to decay.

The first set I had started to dissolve in about 2 years(I think), although they never leaked.  But given time, I'm sure they would have.

The second set is fine so far, but don't know what they'll be like long term.  I figure that if this set goes bad, cracks, etc... I'll just get some aluminum blanks and put in them.  I don't really need sight windows anyway with these as they are so dark inside it's hard to tell anyway  :huh2:

Thats odd :huh2: you'd think they would put the right kind of plastic in that little window. I'm probably getting them anyway lol. As for the valve covers & pork chops, I'm glad you mentioned yours were powder coated. I'll get that done too as mine are getting some chips in the paint. I'd like to get the exhaust coated too but I'll wait for winter

  12. I was just curious as to how those Rizoma reservoirs are holding up now that some time has passed? I really want a set for my Rosso Mandello along with a set of the 851 mirrors. I just got my 15 year bonus check from work & I feel a need for a little bling on my bike :!: :pic: Anyone else have Rizoma reservoirs or mirrors, I'd love to get your opinions

  13. I really really like the rear hugger especially if it works. But all that stuff is serious Bank $$$

    48495

Yeah I agree, that hugger is cool. Nearly $500 is just too much though I may go $280 but thats about it for a fender. Hmm theres a metal shop where I work...maybe if I buy an english wheel, learn how to use it..lol nah too much trouble :not:

  14. THATS IT mine are coming out. what do you do with the hoses eactly now? connect them together or something? or just block them off entirely?

    48607

Just leave the hoses that are connected to the carbs on, & dont block them off. At least thats what I've done today. I will bow down :notworthy: to those who really know what they're talking about :luigi: You'll be shocked at the difference, especially if you have pods I think.

  15. I removed the denso emission canisters today & wow! That did what I wanted my k&n air pods to do. My bike runs so much smooother & builds revs so much faster & easier I find it hard to believe. I did leave the hose connected to the carbs that connects the two. I hope most of you understand that lol its like a coupler I think. A good steak knife makes removing all that hose soooo much easier! Just dont let your wife catch you with kitchen knives in the garage. Plus now I have a little extra space under my seat for the toolbag.

  16. I broke the little knob on my kickstand switch :bbblll: i've read the posts on how to bypass this switch & thats fine...temporarily. I'm too scared to permanently ride without it though lol. Does anyone know if I can just get any other switch & splice it in or do I have to get the official :mg: oem kickstand switch? P.s. if your going to move your bike around while your working on it please put the kickstand up first :!: Trust me that little friggin knob is easy to bend, then it just breaks off

  17. My Rosso Mandello's clutch rattles in nuetral when the clutch lever is not pulled in. When I pull in the lever it quiets right down. If you dont count the tappety valves & high idle engine noise lol :mg: Dont worry about the single plate clutch theyre fine (except when they explode through the tranny case :homer: ) Which almost never happens <_ src="%7B___base_url___%7D/uploads/emoticons/default_whistle.gif" alt="">

  18. I have Allstate insurance & they asked me about accesories for replacement value. At the time all I had was the tekno bags so I stated their value @ $500 I think. I assume that increases my premium slightly, but if its stolen I will be reimbursed the bags too. Btw lets do a comparo of rates in different countries. Standard liability for me is about $300 for 12 months. I'd love to hear what the outragous rates are in europe. If its anything like the cost of gasoline....I'll take my vacation here in the states lol
