  1. Tracy, Your windshield seems larger than stock in your avatar picture. Do you have something different? Thanks, Darryl
  2. I think I have something other than work on my mind!
  3. The picture is titled Canada_stallestbuilding. Even without the big un's she's a pretty girl.
  4. When my 03 LeMans did that it ended up being the kill switch. Easy to see if that is the cuplrit. If you get it running wiggle the red button, and see if the engine croaks. I replaced mine and no more issues. Good luck on finding the fault though.
  5. But if that nearby dealer (90 miles) gets out of the Guzzi biz, no support for my $12,000 bike. And newer owners are used to having more local support. So screw the older knowledgeable dealers at your peril MG. You can't swing a dead cat without hitting a HD dealer, and so far they have treated me very well on the wifes' bike. Hell if the local Yamaha dealer would have budged on his 05 Venture, I might be riding that instead of the LeMans. I think I'm just pissy today, ride in was cold 40ish and the bike got 33 mpg on the last tank.
  6. So as I understand it, I should just go ahead and cross the Breva 1100 off the new bike list. Damn shame if that's the way they are treating their loyal dealers. I'll just buy a Harley. That'll show em
  7. Hello, I purchased the risers sold by Jean Marc. I added gel grips and Suzuki bar weights. It has made a world of difference over the stock setup. My hands used to go numb on my 30 mile commute. I experienced no numbness on last weekends 100 mile jaunt. Jean Marcs riser are very adjustable. The original position of the clip on's seemed to pinch something in my right hand. Now with the new risers no pinch is evident, and my thumb no longer falls asleep. Darryl
  8. Well I'm understanding the Harley's lately. We bought my wife an 07 1200 Sportster and the sales guys told me whatever I want to ride come on down. Thursday I took a 06 Street Glide out. I have to say it was a very nice ride. Comfy, not nearly as heavy feeling as I would think. If they would take my 03 LeMans on a trade I think I'd do it. I also rode a 06 Yamaha Royal Star Venture at another dealer. That bike has everything including the kitchen sink. Cruise control, radio, tour pack a really sweet smooth bike. That dealer will take the Guzzi on trade. Oh decisions, decisions..........
  9. Here's a link to the Motorcyclist magazine helmet article. http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/gearbox/..._helmet_review/ Very interesting take on some of the tests. FWIW those flip up helmets just give me the heebie jeebies. Hinge points and latching mechanisms that close to my noggin. Course I'm breaking in my wifes Harley and wore my old half-helmet this weekend.
  10. Yep he wanted to have many partners. Damn can you imagine going in one of those clubs expecting a normal night of debauchery and Jeri Ryan shows up. Now that's my kind of club...
  11. I would probably kill myself on that track........ Wonder what my F-150 would do on that track.
  12. Not really sure what your trying to say Antonio..
  13. I would love to know what happened to the rider though... I think I would have stopped, if there was somewhere safe to pull off.
  14. Wow that's a hell of an offer. I've been playing with the idea of something new, or additional. I'm a little pissed at the LeMans this morning. Running fine, but I got 33 MPG on the last tank. Mostly I-80 back and forth to work.
  15. Yep, I picked it up from the folks on the www.advriders.com where I've been lurking to try and stem my desire for a KLR650.
  16. Aerostich 2 pc and full face Shoei. ATGATT Baby.........
  17. It is the only bike she ever sat on and went OOOHHH this fits...
  18. Did they make a bright green one with a colored frame? My mistake. I think they were a V11 Sport. I shoulda told them to jiggle the cut off switch....
  19. Weren't they kind of unfinished.... I remember seeing two at a gas station in NC. Neither would start...
  20. Wifey has tentatively ok'd a Breva 1100 or Buell Ulysses. I've ridden the Buell, and it is pretty sweet.....
