    The Ashes come home

Is there a good website that explains Cricket?
  2. Well hopefully he will have a decent car around him. If Schumacher can't win in the car Rossi won't stand a chance.
  3. Morning All, I am having the front tire cupping problem on my 03 Lemans with 4000 miles. Rear tire looks ok for a few more miles though. I am in Iowa so I am willing to trade some stickiness for a longer lasting tread. I have lots of interstate commuting. Just looking for some opinions. Thanks,
  4. Man that's gross, and with 20 more miles to go! We need another smiley!

    Defensive ... moi?

I thought Triumph Sprint as soon as I saw it. Maybe it's the silver.
  7. A topbox for Lemans that would hold a Large Papa Murphy's meat lovers pizza. Ooh it's lunchtime.

    Hot 990 Duke video

Nice to see Kellen Winslow Jr got a new job.
  9. Hey Joe, We just moved to Iowa last year. I was in Thomasville NC. Is the Guzzi dealer the BMW guy in Charlotte? Darryl
  10. Now I need: 1. Throttle Lock 2. Tank Bags 3. Saddle Bags 4. Handlebar risers (maybe I'm going to live with it for awhile) The clock is running backwards now. AAARRRRRRGGGHHHHH!
  11. Hey Guys, Ignoring all I read on this forum I'm picking up my 2003 Lemans tonight. $8100 out the door 2828 miles on odo. I am so looking forward to this weekend. I'm going to try and make the Rally in Illinois on Saturday. I met Jim and Barb at Ned's yesterday, what nice people. Also ran into JRT out there. Thanks for your input. I look forward to years of happy Guzzi ownership. Now my wife wants the Breva. Darryl

    Test Ride

Rode the Bike. LOVE THE BIKE!!!!!!!!!! Beautiful red sitting in the sun. Started it up. That SOUND! What a great booming exhaust sound. Swing a leg over, adjust the mirrors. Hey I can see behind me. Pull the clutch in, OK dry clutches make noise. Put her in first, bring up the revs. Go around my big ass car. Wait for traffic to clear, then YYYAAAAAHHHHOOOOOOOO! I was just hoping I would catch red lights so I could accelerate again. Got some looks (Always cool). Booming along at 60 just so sweet. Turn onto the ramp for 80W by the Mississippi. 80mph before I know it. Slow her down for the construction zone. Settle into a nice commuting rhythm. Get off the interstate to see how she handles some of our Iowa frost heaved roads. Nice suspension, Nice engine. You know something is going on down there but it doesn't intrude or get bothersome. Head back to the dealership. Wipe smile off face so they don't know how much you want it. Gotta do the negotiation now! Wife then dealership. I don't know which one I dread most. I hope to have her home by Saturday. I'm already thinking of names. New seat, luggage and maybe risers. Maybe an exhaust also. PCIII possibly. Ok gotta go to work to pay for it. Thanks for the heads up Kevin! To everyone on the board Thanks! Darryl

    Test Ride

OK Guy's, Today at 5:00 central I will be test riding a 2003 V11 LeMans. Some highway miles, surface steets and some crappy old Iowa beaten up stuff. Really looking forward to it. I had to tell someone, my coworkers don't ride so they don't get my enthusiasm. If all goes well I hope to be the proud owner of a Moto Guzzi by Friday. Hope the bank rates are low. Thanks for letting me lurk and pointing me toward the FAQ regarding "interested in purchasing."
  15. Hi Guys, I've always liked Moto Guzzi's. One of the few bikes that make me go OOOhh! There is a 03 V11 Leman for sale for $8995.00 with 2808 miles. Here is the dilemma. I am in the Quad Cities Iowa. Nearest dealer is Chicago 2 hrs away. There was a dealer in Des Moines and of course Baxter Cycle in Marne IA. This would be my only bike. My commute is 40 miles one way and I would like to ride more often than not. With a good manual I could do basic maintenance. What's your expert opinion on price and overall reliability of a LeMans. Thanks for your input!
