  2. i fully concur crooze..in the old narrow rim days i would have said metzelers c block and d block. but these days [17 inch dia] and radials and hi tech materials and research. i have settled to mich once all weighed up'' ride '' wear '' wet '' handling'' dollar '' . but i havn't tried them all admittadly.
  3. i put the wifes details in.. O'l Momma of the Hellsbeerguts MC.
  4. well it seems they've slipped out of ''wanted'' ! gotta like the imagination in the name..
  5. and bagpipes originated in pakistan! the older i get it seems that most of what i learnt was a mistruth.. :huh2 whilst driving through ireland recently tiger woods stopped his mercedes for fuel at a small village, whilst stepping from the car he dropped two tees from his pocket, the elderly attendant asked; what have yer dropped there? tees tiger says! and wat are dey for? for holding my balls to drive says tiger! aye dose mercedes people tink of everyting.
  6. well for some reason i do believe this. it could be that my growing up with american tv, hollywood movies etc made me believe this at an early age. and i'm quite sure iv'e heard more than one of your presidents state the fact, not just george! [god is on our side] yep it's definately been stated.. maybe it was oprah or DR phil, anyway why would you believe he's NOT. but then again it's more than likely that god is south american. and indiginous at that.
  7. i feel sorry for the snake. only got harley dudes to hang with, even wild hogs never had a snake! ps. god must be american! as he's allways on their side.
  8. cheese and rice! i like it.. is this the new tenni? or aironponys new project on photo shop...
  9. yes, well looked good. but too expensive!
  10. and we got to have a geeze at the 1200s.
  11. AS a second note i won third prize in the raffle thinking third after first prize being a guzzi leather jacket. second a guzzi jumper! i might get a beer stubby holder. but i got a cap, stubby holder, key ring, polo shirt, and a great pit jacket! grinners are winners also won in a poker run held by the nevilles! a bottle of green ginger wine engraved for the event... sure did make those guzzi riders jealous.
  12. returned home this evening from the 14th budgie rally. our group set out friday morning on an overcast day heading north picking up others on the way. we finaly had a gaggle of 13, scura, rosso m, ev cali, titanium cali, gt melle, LM 3, LM 4, duc monster 900 , duc 748, gsx 1400, triumph daytona 900, 1100 katana, and of course the raptor. we didn,t strike rain till within 60km of the site after a pub late lunch and alcahol stop. arriving in rain is never fun especially when it's getting into a cool evening. camp established it was time for some eating and serious drinking! but the serious stuff starts on the saturday when the hordes start arriving, and in the afternoon the games begin with such notable events as the slow race! interestingly won by a guy on a kawa z 1300. we figured all that low weight was an advantage. the nevilles made it to the finals of the bog roll event. now this is the first time i've seen such a thing where the pillion sits in reverse and using his fingers as an axle and with another holding the start of the toilet roll the winner gets the whole roll unravelled without breakage and crosses the finnnish line first. but in the best noise event one of ours had victory easily beating the suzuki gt 750 but narrowly beating some guzzi opponents. but the scura with remus cf grand prixs sounds pretty good when taken to rev limiter a couple of times but some say 'if' the LM3 with its stain tunes had entered it may have been a different story! saturday night was as usual many strange things.... returing toward home on the sunday night was the night cap with a pub stay after some great back roads showered and warm and watching another aussie victory in moto gp from a real bed and it was great to meet up with pete again, and the boys thank you for your diagnostic help i hope you returned home as us with no tickets or bruising. another great event, with thanks to the M.G.C.O.Q.
  13. yep! just one more sleep...and its on the road again.it must be too long since i've had a decent long ride. i'm getting all over short local runs and have a recent passion for distance touring, and having the raptor back on the road again it's like a new ride allmost. i'm hoping to give a ride report on return
  14. yep happy birthday to you both! have a good day.
  15. cleaned preened and loaded! and chaffing at the bit.
  16. hey guys! what happened to global warming.
  17. pleased to hear your back on the road shifty. without too much expense or dramas. on another note.. not being one to carry rumours,,,but i have been informed! by a reliable source that a luxury ocean going cruiser was seen off shore of our central coast, on a northerly heading. my informant has read the name of the vessal as the ''roper plate'' from information received. i believe it is bound to birth in the hastings river port macquarie by friday. after leaving bungendore peninsula. there was one report that a yellow object was secured on the deck at the bough carrying the symbol of an eagle. i shall inform if i have further information such big spending by the captain whilst in port. i have received a description of the captain owner. described as..smilling , average height , plumpish, bespecaled man, easily identified by the large gold plate which hangs at his breast on a solid gold chain around his neck. .

Ciao jasper jap...just days to go now till the 14th budgie! i'm quite sure, if you head off for mingoola on either friday or saturday, and keep your eye out for motorcycles even guzzis going in your direction. you'll soon hook with others to ride with and share the journey [if you wish] so i'll see you there.. i'll be the bloke with the neville t shirt..

    The Pace

Well i can't understand how anyone can ride by someone elses written theory. THE PACE what pace? yes we mostly have our own pace based on experience and ability. i know riders who's pace is now as it was 30 years ago, it's called slow! but this doesn't stop them from being involved in accidents! and others i know i would never try to stay with they are too fast! i know of some who are very fast on the straights and then a pain in the arse when you catch them in the bends. some riders should only ever ride on there own, and others are a joy to ride with in a group ''they're predictable''. my advice to any new rider is to do as much riding on there own in all conditions including plenty of dirt roads of all types. the best advice i ever received in regard to riding and surviving was from my local honda dealer at the time 30 odd years ago when i was but a young fella. he was an a grade road racer and a very experienced road traveller. quote; allways be travelling quicker than the rest of the traffic. allways be going forward overtaking never sit behind another vehicle for too long, pass as soon as possible and get plenty of space between. and it's allways worked for me! ride to survive! not in fear of a ticket.
  20. it seems our poor network could not cope with it? would have loved it though! thanks.
