  1. Anybody going to be there? Just found out we'll be in NYC that weekend -- I'll ride up and the wife will take the train. We'll ride up to Sturbridge from there and be able to spend a few hours before having to get back for my wife's event in Midtown Sunday night. http://www.imocusa.com/rally2007.htm Hope to meet some fellow V11 folks there. Sean
  2. Sorry for the cross-post, but I figured I'd try here too since some of you may not frequent the Wildguzzi site, but still may know about this guy. Thanks in advance for any information. *************** I didn't want to have to post this - but maybe he reads this forum and will finally respond to me. Have any of you had dealings with Tom Kneubuehler? He runs the "motoguzzishop.com" website that contains Big Daddy's Workshop. Big Daddy's Workshop actually has some really nice "how-to" stuff on it complete with instructions and plenty of pictures. I had used some things I learned from there on the V50 III, so I felt like I should give him a bit of business as a thank you by buying a few things through his site. Just some metric feeler gauges and ball-end hex wrenches... could have gotten them anywhere at a shop near me, but decided to go through him... just because... no biggee, right? Well, I ordered these things and paid for them on June 27th. Long about July 11, I realized I had not received the items. I checked my PayPal account and the the payment cleared on the date of purchase. So I emailed him using the email listed on his website and called him using the phone number listed on his website asking if there was a problem with the order, if he the order was being held up - whatever. No response to the call or email. So I emailed him again on Monday, July 23, requesting he rectify the situation -- either refund my PayPal account or send the items, or just tell me something about the transaction. Nothing. If you know him or know how to reach him - please have him contact me. I would much rather resolve this issue amicably, show everyone it was just a harmless error -- he got too busy or WHATEVER -- than make a huge stink out of it. But, probably due to the nature of what I do on a daily basis, I have a hard time just shrugging my shoulders and walking away when I give money to someone for something specific and and those things don't show up. Since I STILL had not heard anything from him today, and a month has gone by since the date of purchase, I have posted a dispute regarding the transaction on PayPal and am awaiting his response. If I get none, it will go to a claim, in accordance with PayPal protocol... but again - I would much rather just talk to the guy and find out what went wrong with the transaction and wash my hands of the situation... Like I said -- he has some good "how to" stuff on his website, and I am very appreciative of that. But I don't like to throw away money.
  3. 2004 Coppa Italia, bought "new" (37 miles) in september 2005. Has appx 5,500 miles now... unfortunately, she only gets ridden on the weekends, mostly, since I carry a briefcase and wear a suit on weekdays - and I believe in wearing significantly more gear than that when riding the bike.
  4. That reminds me of an auction for a VERY used roadcrafter that was posted on WildGuzzi last year... totally hilarious.
  5. For that guy with all those bikes in Ohio - you know who you are! Tell you what... I'll keep these coming if you keep the joke thread going on WG. Deal?
  6. If you're doing it next year, I am planning a cross-country trip (well, actually a "there and back" trip) and so far it looks like I am solo. Leaving Alexandria, VA. hitting various stopping points along the way that are yet undecided, on the way to Malibu, CA for the National in late June. If it is still on this coast at that time, I'd be happy to join the ride to California. If not -- see you there!
  7. Is there an invisible pic posted here?
  8. Absolutely. Rock solid in the corners and track like they are on rails.
  9. By request - a brunette with perfect "handfuls"
  10. That's great to read... totally looking forward to the new mods... My box of goodies just arrived from MI today. If my wife has the time, I'll have her take photos when I do the X-over and centerstand installation and I'll write up something to post here. Prolly won't have time to do the work for a couple of weekends, however. Thanks, Greg!
  11. Today- Brutally hot... with a chance of becoming disgustingly humid by later afternoon: Yesterday was over 100 with nasty humidity. Summer has finally hit the east coast.
  12. Joe- I believe Greg Field has mounted the Coppa Italia (Ballabio style) fairing to the frame. It is a different look, but still looks good. Search his past posts and you are likely to find lots of pics.
  13. I agree. I put the Ti Race kit on my Coppa Italia a few weeks ago. They are probably less than 1/2 the weight of the stock cans and the sound is UNBELIEVABLE! Last I checked the MG main site listed them as an available option again - in UK for the Ballabio (since the V11 doesn't come to the US anymore). So, if that is true, the "better" dealers in the US may be able to order a set for you. I am a believer! Link: http://www.motoguzzi.it/Nuovi_modelli/v11b...&pagina=acc
