  1. Is there much interest in a CNC alum (super strong) shifter for the V11S? Those who have had even had a parking lot tip-over knows how soft the OEM shifter is. I will be finding out a price based on how many folks are interested. Please e-mail me direct if you are; toddguzzitech.com
  2. Quite ironic thread... I just finished posting something of interest on this note here; http://www.phpbbforfree.com/forums/guzzitech-about777.html

    Paging tomsp

Tom, I have tried direct e-mail several times, and PM'ing as well to no avail. Can you PLEASE contact me via direct e-mail, it is pretty important/urgent. If any one else can get in touch with him for me, please do. Thanks, ToddGuzziTech.com - replace with @ of course.

  5. David, now before you get caught in your own landslide... you told me in person that the software has been very glitchy, and you had yet to hear back from any one there for support. So has this all changed? Having control of all of that data might be good, but, really... what are *you* going to do with it, aside from taking stabs and thinking you are "improving" your bike. I've seen this on the dyno now a few hundred times, and can atest that most people are only making it worse. If you want to spend hours on the dyno, there are tons of ways out there currently to do this. Buy the FIM software and spend days on the dyno for a reflash. Timing issues, only to eliminate pinging will take you a solid hour or so with someone who really knows what the hell they're doing. When I did some initial research with timing at Dynojet, there was basically no gains to be had with ignition, unless you have bumped the compression significantly, or added something such as a turbo. That being said, hopefully next week I'll be able to *finally* offer a timing module for the PCIIIusb to eliminate the "ping" issue on V11S motors. This isn't meant as a bash, just stating some simple facts. My $.02 as always.

    My Griso...

My first draft ride report is posted on www.MG-Griso.com for anyone interested. Updates including the press-released video link should be within a week or so. Enjoy.
  7. Jedi, well that tells the story... so after our "spirited" blast through DeLuz canyon, then (my guess is) hammering across Ortega Hwy, I am not surprised to hear of your fuel consumption. See you at the Dam show and ride on Sunday.
  8. Uhhhmmmm... you mean the West side? Otherwise I was going to say for sure you weren't being "easy" on the throttle after the accel pump mod we did at EMF-W. I suspect your map to be quite rich if you truly did ride "normally" after your fill up. We decided your map to be "kind of sort of" near the ballpark, but no where close to ideal as I remember. Stop twisting the grip so much if you want better mileage, would'ya? See you this weekend at Hansen Dam?
  9. You mean like their .0014% failure rate according to Dynojet U.S. (of their Worldwide database). Heh, yeah, I'd suggest everyone running one to immediately remove and pitch them. Good stuff, thanks. Michael, as has been suggested, the PCIII is a one plug deal to pull and bypass... though based on your post, I doubt this is the problem. It could be something as simple as a failing TPS, or yes, perhaps ECU. Best of luck, and be sure to post the outcome.

  11. Thanks David. See everyone there. Todd
  12. Last, last call. Catch me on the www.SoCal-Guzzi.com webboard if you have any additional questions prior to Friday morning. See you there.
  13. Anyone happen to grab this PDF file was it was still up? http://www.ok-motorraeder.de/flyer.pdf - otherwise, if anyone reading this can e-mail them and ask them for it (doesn't seem they reply to English), it would be most appreciated. E-mail me direct please; toddguzzitech.com - replace with @.
  14. Jedi, Did you check with Mark/Moto Guzzi Classics? I spoke with him yesterday, and he is going (and taking a truck as well). www.motoguzziclassics.com See you guys next weekend.
  15. Damn Mike, sorry to hear this. Speedy healing, and hope you can get back on the bike soon. Last call folks, per David's message... last minute arrivals KILLS us on things like food and beverage planning. All details for hotels, etc. are linked from the very first post above. Look forward to seeing a big handful of you next weekend.
  16. Less then two weeks out for the pre-registration discount. Any one else besides David going from here?
  17. I actually made it, any one else here? A few pics, and a story on my Griso test ride (2 hrs!) later this week; http://www.phpbbforfree.com/forums/mggriso-about20.html
  18. I get on a plane tomorrow... so see you there. Anyone else here going? I'll try and wear my GuzziTech.com t-shirt on Saturday if it stays warm enough. Please say Hi.
  19. This rumor just won't die... I have substantiated proof that pod filters offer NO benefit over an open-lid airbox (2 or 4 valve motors), and in fact show significant power loss of say 4~5 hp (compared to the open airbox) in the mid-range part of the powerband. However, if you're doing it purely for cosmetic reasons... go forth. End of story. $.02 Todd
  20. As has been previously mentioned, the PCIII is on a switched source, along with the ECU... therefore it is impossible for the PCIII to be the battery drain. I'd take the battery (and/or the bike) back to the dealer (or any battery shop) and have them load test it. Sounds like it is indeed very close to its expiration date.
  21. I wouldn't get too excited with colors for the U.S. market... often they are limited, and typically they do not offer the Euro colors here in the U.S.. Just a thought. I also wouldn't expect the Griso stateside until late Winter/early Spring '06, at the earliest.

Robbie, thanks man. He actually replied direct e-mail this morning. Seems he had a computer crash that he's recovering from.
