  1. Ducati Multistrada 620 (Dark) that is. Honestly there have been (at least) two really cool things about my V11 Sport :!: (1) Owning the most beautiful and rideable motorcycle ever built. (2) This forum and all the great participants. (Yeah, I'm talkin' about you!) All you guys (and gals) who helped sponsor my little league baseball team two years ago. And all you guys (and gals) who contribute sound and solid advice to newbies. And especially to Jaap and Carl. But I sold the Sport as I had trouble with the trannie and became "weirded-out" about reliability and lack of nearby dealers. I'm keeping my eyes on the new "Griso" though, and may buy one in about a year...will have to see. On the flip side, my MTS 620 is a fun little devil and the dealer is the best ever in the whole world...well actually "only" one of the fastest growing in the USA, coming in fifth in Ducatis sold last year. Hope y'all wont mind my lurking about. And be assured that if you see me on my MTS 620, beneath the helmet will be a look of forelorn envy.
  2. These are sized for a 2 piece Aerostich "Roadcrafter" suit 36S. The pant size is W=30 in (adj 29-33). Inseam is 27.5. In exc condition. I will try to link to photos.. http://www.craigslist.org/eby/mcy/108501081.html Well thats where it is, no link? Try this (please bear w/ me)

  4. Dang Carl. I didnt even know they had 'lectricity in Oklahoma
  5. Okay yuz wise guys. I should pre-warn you of my friend Carl. He has a very, very dark side. Gawd forbid that I should fail to restrain his ugly urges and his pendacity towards violence and other stuff. But if yus keeps it up ..well, I'm just gonna hafta turn him loose. AND THEN ITS GONNA GET REAL UGLY, REAL FAST
  6. This is "like new". It has been worn fewer than 6 times by my son. The date inside helmet is 01/99. This fits like an Aria "Small" although it is a S/M AGV size. $180 plus shipping from Modesto CA USA
  7. You tell 'em Carl . Badmotogoozer knows not of which he speaketh
  8. Yesterday (Sunday), 5:30 PM. Eastbound 92 from San Mateo Bridge. Male driver w/black helmet. Female passenger with a white helmet. Champagne colored Lemans with a luggage rack. "Hi" to you...Joe (In the Toyota Camry)
  9. The most recent issue of "CycleWorld" or "Motorcyclist" (I've forgotten which, since its the most recent issue, but thats another story) has a comparo of sport-touring bikes (8 or 9 of 'em), including, but not limited to Honda VFR 800, Yamaha FJR 1300, Honda ST 1300, Hyabusa (WTF), Aprilia Futura, Triumph Sprint ST and a BMW (K1200R ?). I recall that the Yamaha FJR 1300 got the nod. But it may be of greater interest to you that included in the test article was a sidebar review from a female passenger's perspective. But Ive forgotten what she had to say so you'll have to read the article yerself! Motorcycle Consumer News (October 2005) compared the Ducati ST3, Honda VFR 800, Triumph Sprint ST and the BMW R1200ST....and ranked them thusly: Honda, Ducati, BMW and last was the Triumph. If I wanted to do the two-up sport-touring thing, I would strongly consider the Honda ST1300. But when alls said and done, the MG posted by Orangeokie sure looked nice :!:
  10. Yeah, that's exactly what I said. "Just give her a massive raise."
  11. More "kudos" for Michelle :!: It was she who FINALLY resolved my exploding trannie issue...IMMEDIATELY. If Michelle is the new "face" of MGNA that will be good news for all of us. I hope her boss at MGNA is reading this thread. PROMOTE HER
  12. Yeah, Instead of replacing a defective case they tried to machine in a bushing, but apparently the machinist (so the shop told me) forgot to properly do something and the bushing fell into the moving transmission after 200 miles. MGNA sent me a new trannie, to their credit .
  13. When my 01 V11 Sport's trannie was in its final days (missed shifts everywhere) I put in RLHD and the transformation was miraculous. Fewer missed shifts, smoother overall. Then my trannie was recalled under warranty, returned to me and shortly thereafter exploded. It was then replaced under warranty. So my new trannie has fewer than 1K miles on it now. It has in it whatever comes from the factory and works just fine... Do you think I should switch to the RLHD now (I really would like to as I recall how smooth it made my old "lop-sided" trannie), or wait several thousand more miles til the new trannie is broke in proper? FWIW, the new trannie works flawlessley! Thanks MGNA.
  14. Hi ephman. I'm not much taller than you and have a 29-30ish inseam. Rich Maund made up a seat for me that helped out a bit (see photo in gallery, naked bikes, Joe Camarda's V11 Sport). Corbin seats might be able to help also. Anyway, you may not need that much lowering. Using low profile tires and dropping the front forks about half an inch may be the ticket. Good luck!
  15. Mike, congratulations on your bike But hey, maybe next month...in fact, I bet that Jaap already has MY BIKE selected for the BOTM for October! Yeah, I'm sure of it now, or why else would he have told me that my bike was a contender? I am, like, sooooo READY for this!
  16. Thanks Mikie. Jaap are you listening? That is one vote for ME for "Guzzi of the Month"! On the other hand, that Carl Allison feller from Oklahoma will vote against me. Oh well...back to a big, fat round ZERO. But I think I'm still a clear contender for the "Whiner of the Month" award
  17. Apparently New Orleans is about 12 ft. BELOW sea level. There are dikes on either side of the city keeping out the Mississippi River and a lake. Not only will the area be hit with a massive rainfall, but also a storm crest which is expected to push the ocean level up 20-28 feet, catastrophically overwhelming the dikes and flooding the city. Predictions are that "Old Town" may dissappear. Hopefully the "naysayers" are all wrong about this!
  18. I'm officially going to be the first complainant that MY beautiful 01 V11 Sport with red powder coated wheels, CF front fender, CycleCat clip ons, Stucchi fairing (to match tailpiece), white gas tank with customized Guzzi logo and eagle, Rich Maunde seat, matte black w/ white checkered tailpiece, Stucchi crossover, Leo Vince exhausts, CF hugger and fender eliminator has not been selected the "Guzzi of the Month" by Jaap! This is grossly UNFAIR As anyone who cares to view a photo of my bike in the gallery (naked bikes) will most certainly attest, I have been deprived of my justly - won place in Moto Guzzi History..and I wanted to be the FIRST to whine and wimper about it! But who knows, maybe I have already won and it just hasnt been announced yet Thats gotta be it But I could be wrong Anyway, if I havent won the "Guzzi of the Month" award, I think I should win an award for "Whiner of the Month"...AND I should get one of those fancy dang stickers that Jaap is giving out.
  19. Hi Gary. The new bars look very nice, no false claims of heresy here! Glad it is more comfie for you! Joe
  20. Please tell me if it is: High gloss? Low gloss? Flat finish? TIA, Joe
  21. PM me with details. TIA, Joe
  22. Dang Dude (me again). I just read your accident account. The same thing very nearly happened to me on my Ducati 900 SS/CR....WHAT AN AWAKENING! I nearly shat upon myself, and this was in a parking lot at about 10 MPH :!: But, regarding the Aerostich...they are repairable, so that might be a cheaper route. Otherwise check some of the BMW rider's forums. Aerostiches are always for sale there. Joe
