The connectors in the fuse block only make about 25% contact with the fuse. Not hardly good for 30 amps. I'm testing an external fuse holder to see if the fuse melts again.

The Nashville and vicinity contingent will be meeting at the Nolensville "Coffee House" ( I think it's called Mill Creek Foods now) at 0730 for a good breakfast and briefing. The food is great but watch out for the pea gravel parking lot. It has a reputation for separating the sheep fro the boys. The restaurant is on Nolensville Road (US41A) near Burkitt Rd. and just south of Hwy 253. This is on the Davidson/Williamson County line. I've enlisted some local riders to help us find the back way to Lynchburg. You'll remember Gary on the BMW GS. Side stands up at 0830 for the ride to Lynchburg which should take a couple hours putting us on the square about 1030. From there we can loop Tim's Ford Lake and up to Suwannee for another loop to the south on 56/156. Some may wish to vacation in Lynchburg to tour the distilllery but those of us with our hair on fire will likely ride every minute we can.

Riding with GPS equiped riders I've found the odometer to be optomistic by up toward 10%. It wasn't quite 10 but more than 8. I'll be riding again with those felows next month so I'll pay closer attention to the discrepency.

Simplest thing is to check the connector at the neutral switch behind the starter. They often get loose or dirty. Next check, wiggle, clean or change the middle relay.

The forum sucked less back when we were so busy with our gearshitboxes and electrical maladies we didn't feel compelled to dispute with one another over unrelated topics. The move to put this sort of banter aside into a forum of its own is eidence that what we were doing didn't work well for the best of the LeMans forum itself. Unfortunately , the personal views and disputes between individuals has bled over from unrelated topics into the technical threads. One poster even deleted his posts with some valuable technical links because the thread was heating up. Too bad for all of us, really. As far as one sided opinions, I overtly grant you yours. You don't want to own a firearm? No problem, there are plenty of places in the world where that is mainstream. Don't believe in God? You're not alone. Don't like this thread or this forum? It's a big web out there.
