  1. American/English is the second language of the United States. Spanish/Mexican is the first language of the USA Richard Z. aka vesparider
  2. I have the stock Pair of Head guards from my 2004 V11. I bought a new set of red anodized and don't need these. One is perfect. The other is bent and scuffed from a fall over last weekend on the soft sand shoulder. I thought if someone needed one good one due to a fall over, I'd be glad to give this one to someone in need. Shipping cost would apply.... Shoot me a message. First come first served. Richard Z. aka vesparider
  3. Great tip...... I wonder if the bike falling on its left side would have moved enuff fuel to the left side to get it running.... Maybe the bike was telling me something when it flop over... LOL Richard Z. aka vesparider
  4. 2 Scots, 1 Welsh, 1 Irish and 4 English in our party walk into a bar........ Sounds like the makings of a great joke. Richard Z.
  5. The Sport only has about 420 miles on it. Up until the weekend I kept it topped off just in case I got a chance to go out on a ride to stretch its legs. I've been riding the Triumph for awhile and I get 220 miles per tank. Just never knew where the Sport would run low.... Now I know..... Richard Z
  6. It started out great. Nice weather, put some miles on. I was thinking how good the gas mileage was, then it happened. It quit, out of gas. The Low Fuel Light never flickered, so I wasn't too worried, but had a feeling when I hit 165 miles on the trip meter, that it should be low and the next gas stop was 10 miles. It made it to 170 and died on the side of the road. Not a huge problem, I was riding with a group and they went and got me fixed up. However while the bike was setting on the stand in the soft shoulder. You guessed it. It fell over. I was about 10 feet away and just missed catching it. Not much done to it. Scuffed the head guard and the lever. Just frustrating..... It gave me a reason to install the new anodized head guards I bought two months ago. cleaned up the lever and did a little touch up with paint. You'd never know it happened. I hope better days are ahead. So what are the chance a new bike has a bad bulb or could it be the sending unit? I really don't want to take it in for warranty for such a small issue....... maybe when it goes in for its 1000 mile service. just thought I would share... Richard Z. aka vesparider
  7. Perverts For those that have watched dateline NBC. You'll get it.
  8. What pics do you want to see? The bikes? The Living Room? The Replicas? What? I'd be happy to...... I don't have any more progress pics of the Lawson and I haven't got any of the Cooley yet. I'll post those when I pick it up. Richard Z.
  9. Finally a break in the weather..... I've been riding the Triumph for about a week back and forth to work. I finally got an afternoon to myself and got the Guzzi out of the living room. The Triumph is nice but I don't have as much fun as I do riding the Sport. So I parked the Triumph in the Living room and have moved the Guzzi closer to the door for easy acccesibility. (I used to have to move the Triumph to get the Sport Out). I'm spending time finishing the Eddie Lawson Replica and next week I have to go get the Wes Cooley Replica I just bought (Yes, I now will have 2 Wes Cooley Replica's) No rest for the wicked.... Richard Z.
  10. The use of the rear brake was either instinct or pure luck.... It seemed since I was pushing the front, the best way to resolve was to slow the back. I've have read much on fixation and cornering and one of the last things you should do is apply rear brake. However it seemed to work on the loose stuff and a loaded bike. I've read that opening the throttle will unload the fron tire and keep the bike moving forward. Check out the Doc Wong article in the March 07 Cycle World. It is a great read on cornering and situation management... Richard Z.
  11. Try Bi Focals... They work for me.... LOL Richard Z.
  12. Whew! Went for a group ride today. Back County roads of Kansas..... 25mph corner with a ton of sand on it from the maintenance crews deicying the roads. Just into the corner the new front Continental started sliding. Added a little rear brake and got it upright and rode through the shoulder and back onto the road. The Yamaha R6 that was tailing me wasn't so lucky. He did the same thing but couldn't get back upright. Fortunately it went down on a soft wet shoulder and only got mud on it and bent the tag bracket.... The rest of the 200 miles went uneventful...... I am going to stop leading. I don't want to be the one that causes someone to ride over their head when I'm on the edge myself. Triumph ran flawlessly. I'm still not sure about the Continentals. They seem to wiggle under hard cornering. I left the Guzzi in the house. Its still abit cold and I didn't want to sandblast the paint with all the road sand yet. Its day will come.... Richard Z.
  13. I hate winter...... At least the bikes are warm and dry.. Richard Z.

  21. Ebay of course. I have an extra. I think. YEP I found them. I have 1 red 6" and two silver 6". All reflective. The silver are a left and right set and the red is what I didn't use from the set. Got them from a gentleman from Nebraska. He has several sizes. 3,6,12" If you want his info email me. If you want one of what I have left over, let me know. $5.00 each (plus a stamp) mailed within the USA. Richard Z.
  22. I wish I knew. I've only been on the Sprint 10 minutes and 5 miles. It was too friggin cold to get any sort of comparison. Richard Z.
  23. Any sets left? I know the original post was almost a year ago. Please let me know. 300 miles and I'm already having trouble. Thanks, Richard Z.
  24. I figured since that was almost a year ago, all set would be gone by now. I'll post and see. Thanks, Richard Z.
  25. 300 miles and my pipe is loose, rattles and needs help. I've tightened the clamps with no luck. Dealer seems unhelpful. Hoping some one will build shims soon so I can order some. Richard Z.
