Polite cough...... as the proud owner of both the Breva 1100 and V11, I can only agree with all the sentiments expressed above .

Stunning machine Guy - congratulations!

Great pictures David - you've brightened up a rather dull and wet morning in Yorkshire .......never mind, only 12 months until the next V11 (& Breva ) Scottish weekend

My son and I will be at Haywards the 24th. Unknown as to whether my daughter and wife would go as it's just another motorcycle shop to them. Are there any interesting shops in the immediate vicinity of Haywards that the females of the clan could go shopping at?
Wow. Less than three weeks now.
I really, really want to see a Norge if they're on the showroom floor.
Carl - the 24th at Haywards is in the diary. We live 140 miles from Cambridge so meeting up at lunchtime would suit us best. I'm not sure about the UK launch date for the Norge - anyone else know?

Just a few of my favourite pictures of the weekend. The west coast of Scotland has to be one of the most scenic places in Europe and Spean Bridge provides a great base from which to explore most of it. We'll definitely do the same thing next year.

A great weekend, although the weather could be best described as 'mixed' .
Saturday's run to Applecross was excellent and the sunshine plus stunning scenery made the day complete. You can put up with any amount of rain when things work out like that. I'll post some pictures when I've got more time - Moto GP beckons...
Thanks to Guy and Helen, Mark, David and Martin for attending and for being such good company. Total bikes were 5 x V11's and 1 x Breva 1100 .
We arrived home at 4.30 pm after enduring heavy rain and spray on the A1 for 102 miles between Newcastle and Leeds. Hope you all arrived home safely.
BTW having a seagull stood on your head isn't very funny - they're quite heavy you know! .

Yuk! what a crap morning
We're waiting for it to stop blowing a gale and pi**ing it down before setting off. I think we'll arrive in Spean Bridge around mid-evening .
-
We may use the Breva rather than the V11 and Nevada, but we will be there - no matter what the weather can throw at us. Even if the numbers attending are down on what we expected I'm sure we'll have a good time ....
-
I spoke to the landlady tonight and she's already had a few cancellations. It looks as though the weather forecast is starting to put people off travelling such a long distance. I can't really blame them - it's pretty bad .
Have you guys paid deposits?
-
If the weather is good (which it will be, won't it....) we'll take our time and have good tour around , probably arriving in Spean Bridge late afternoon on Friday.
I'm glad that a few more v11lemans.com members are coming this year. We should have approx. 10 V11's plus an assortment of Buells/other makes.

Carl - just thinking aloud .....how about a 'forum' meeting at Haywards in Cambridge on Saturday 24th June?
-
My V11's monetary value or others perception of it is immaterial to me - I simply love riding it. The V11 ticks all the right boxes .

Not quite what we had intended , but we enjoyed our trip to the MGCGB Scottish Rally. We had a fantastic time exploring the borders on Saturday and Sunday but only camped the one night, staying Sunday night in a B&B . It was just too cold for Jane, who really suffered on Saturday night.
Minus 3 deg C at 6.00am Sunday morning....
-
At least the bike looked good....
-
Our tickets arrived this morning and it looks as though we'll both be able to get Friday 28th off work. Traquair House sure looks a nice place.
Well, I didn't manage to get today off work so we'll be riding up early Saturday morning ......

My October 1999 V11 has 70,381 km (or 43,734 miles in real UK money) on the clock. No major niggles except the engine/gearbox recall. And did I ever mention that I it to bits and would never part with it......

Good to see a real bike in MCN and two members of v11lemans com .
-
This particular V11 rider is going, everything is booked
-
Congratulations - at last, you've finally got your sticky mitts on the Buell. Hope you enjoy it and complete the running in process quickly.
If you can, get yerself down to Sammy Miller's in Hampshire, on Sunday 23rd April for our first Buell event of 2006. Details are on the UK Buell owners web site within the social section.

To be held at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham.
Meet at 11.30 am for an informal get together which will include lunch in the Museums self service restaurant
We're hoping that approximately 30 to 40 of the new models will attend but all Moto Guzzi's are welcome

....if you respect against-the-grain thinking and brilliant (yet somewhat obvious) engineering -- then you gotta love Erik Buell........
I couldn't agree more ....

We depart for our German tour tomorrow, finishing the week at the V11 Treffen.
I contacted Jens Hofmann at Dynotec and asked if we could visit his company early next week. He's invited us to Hockenheim race circuit on Monday (12th) afternoon to see their Guzzilla and Benelli Tornado RS race bikes being tested. On Tuesday we will visit his workshops to see all their Guzzi developments.
I'll be like a big kid in a sweetshop .....
