My guess too, a lot of v11's haven't got the right size of spacer between the two rear wheel bearings. Lots of info on that when you do a search.

Cool pics! And I bet it's a great way to put some mileage on the V11. The Dutch Moto Guzzi Club als organized a Landmark Rallye, with landmarks all over Europe.
