The USA is the place to buy.
Shipping is not overly expensive. The American bikes are usually lower mileage, nicely taken care of.
Troubled economy, rabid consumerism, a distain for European products, devalued currency, etc.
The Penske is worth every cent. (8983 model on my V11)
I believe that GuzziTech is a supplier. They may have a better price than Penske direct.
Here is a direct e-mail address I used for great service from Penske:

Can you tell me where you bought it?
Thanks
Mike
Penske was great to deal with.
The shock is a thing of beauty.

You are lucky to have noticed.
Mine broke in half, at speed.
The first one leaked oil, the second one broke in half.
No Sachs Boge for me, ever again.
My Penske shock is fantastic.
The Ohlins rear shock is still available through Moto Guzzi.
I am using the Penske shock. Works fantastic, with great personalized service from Penske.
Yes.
It was certainly exciting when my (replacement-for-the-leaking) shock broke, having just negotiated a 100 mph S curve.
The Penske replacement shock is fantastic. Worth every cent.
Sell the engine with everything intact.
The bits and pieces, if you sell them all separately, you will be waiting a while to get rid of everything.
What is the story on the custom seat? If it is in one piece, i may be interested.
My '03 does not have a lower one, either.
The cable housing makes a tight bend before entering the lower drive. My cable had problems with this bend. Cable broke at 7100 mile mark, The odometer gave up at the same time, for whatever reason.
I bought the Penske.
Looks like a nicely put together unit.
The unit is slightly longer(adjusted short as possible). Barely fit. Rear ride height is increased, probably about an inch.
Spring height adjustment requires that one remove the tank, side covers, and air box.
Fourth shock removal,in 7000 miles. Getting good at it!
