Admin Jaap
Found this article in Classic Racer magazine (Summer 1987) and thought it would be interesting.

jcbooghs
Molto grazie, Jaap! I've been looking for years for an article like this about the prototype of our beloved Sport derivates.
Guest ratchethack
OUTSTANDING, Jaap! A great article for the archives. I note the clear shots of the "original" pork chops. Gotta like the "shin protector" tubing wired around the top ends.
Dan M
Gotta like the "shin protector" tubing wired around the top ends. You see, you learn something new every day. I thought those were "ankle grips" Thanks for the enlightenment

jcbooghs
10,200 RPM!!! It's not a summertime-cruiser! It's a Guzzi battleship.
mille108
I cant find the back brake pedal or lever..how does it work?
Paul Minnaert
could be that the front master operates the rear too. There is a sort valve mounted there, could be a pressure adjuster.
Orson
It's not a summertime-cruiser! It's a Guzzi battleship. I'm just trying to imagine what a Guzzi at 10,200 RPM must sound like
jcbooghs
Like a raging bull!!! Many short stroke racers get these numbers. I'm more concerned about the compression ratio 12,5:1 !! That's suicide! Just read this on the i-net: John Wittner is in the process (august 2008) of restoring his original AMA BOTT racer which will be for sale when he is finished. mille108
Hmmm..should be interesting..going into a corner full on the brakes..downshifting.. no slipper clutch..and your rear brake is braking also...
chris a
excellant stuff...I read that that The good Dr's racer shad all the 3 brakes linked so presumably it was the hand lever which operated them.
Skeeve
Rear brake = "roll off the throttle..." Bam-Bam don't need no steenkin' rear brake: that's what the other riders are there for!
