veloguzzi Posted August 2, 2012 Share Posted August 2, 2012 Has anyone replaced the screws that secure the TPS to the right throttle body assembly? Mine are full of yellow paint, too shallow to securely fit a proper hex tool, and can only be turned with a small vice grips. I need to replace them. If anyone has a source, I'd appreciate it. docc Posted August 2, 2012 Share Posted August 2, 2012 They are actually not hex but Torx and it is a good move to replace them with hex fasteners making them so much easier to fettle with a simple 90 degree angled hex tool. gstallons Posted August 2, 2012 Share Posted August 2, 2012 you could use a dental pick to remove the paint or remove one screw and go get replacements.
