  1. Yep ridden a SS 1000 and what was really remarkable as other have said is how fast they spin up! Really impressive. I was not expecting that even owning the St4s at the time, which I still do. The 4s is a great bike, going slightly off topic again, it does everything. Its my super fast slick touring machine. The Cafe sport does not have anything like the oomph of the 2 valve Ducati which is strange given the similar power numbers. That's a seat of the pants feel. The Ducati feels like the power runs away from you with the V11 needing you to consciously open the throttle to get the power down and when you do its there alright. Owned the 4s for 14 years now

  2. Woohooo! Chuck, my Lucky Phil shifter brackets arrived today. They are gorgeous! The colors and paint are very nice, and the pieces look and feel great. It’s nice to have one of each color. No doubt there’s a Scura or Rosso Corsa in my future, and which ever once of these doesn’t go on the red frame greenie will be reserved for the “yes, she will be mine” bike. In the meantime, it’s going on the tree this year, right up at the top next to the disco mirror ball and glow-in-the-dark typewriter ornaments. Beautiful work, Chuck. Thank you! Next time that you’re in SoCal, Joe Jost’s is on me!

  4. Always glad to see a satisfied customer. My QC lady said this is the best batch yet. I think the water jet guy put a journeyman on the machine this time..they fit in the cavity of my fixture precisely, so everything is "on the money."

  6. Old topic but I'm a rookie that just joined in so excited to speak my mind. I have used Haulbikes multiple times and the service and pricing has always been great. They load the bike on really large trucks designed specifically to transport bikes around the country. Properly document the pre shipping condition of the bike and take videos and pics and then same thing when they deliver. If you are not in a rush to get a bike from A-B this service is hard to beat, I say not in a rush because it typically takes a month from the time you schedule to the time you get your bike. Highly recommended. (I don't work for them by the way).

  7. I JUST edited the initial post to clarify this indeed... Part on my V65 Florida. All it states on there are the letters "ART" and "083".

  8. Just to clarify, I am pretty sure this part is on Tinus89's V65 Florida and not his V11 . . .

  9. The bracket simply stopped being applied after the very earliest V11 Sports. Mine is a March 2000 build and did not have it. I was not aware any US V11 had it from the factory. It is such a fiddly thing to fit around the fuel injection that I've always suspected it was eliminated for simplicity of assembly. Enough early V11 gearboxes have cracked to prompt many of us to retrofit one.

  10. I always loved his Ballads..In 2010 my wife and I were out to dinner at a Family style Brazilian steak House in Beverly Hills..This is right after he announced having Alzheimers , Glen and his whole family..about 10 of them came in and sat at a big table right next to us....He was very conversational and all were very friendly and nice people. Another time in 1972 when I was a cameraman working for ABC on a Commercial which Glen was to be in with Forrest Tucker at a Golf Course in Burbank (This was when Glen was with Tanya Tucker and Drinking alot!!), Tucker showed up an hour late, Glen was drinking and extremely pissed off..so when Tucker finally arrived..Glen spent the whole afternoon calling him "Taurus Fucker" every chance he got!! Tucker was none to happy..and we had a hard time not laughing or Bumms off!
