  1. Sorry for the lack of news. But it will be worth the wait. I just received a pre-production sample and as soon as I get my gaskets (already ordered from MG Cycle) I'll fit it and let everyone know how it goes on. While I don't expect any issues I'm sure you'd rather have me be the tester than you. Getting the plates engraved is still being worked on. While I'm sure everyone would like this engraved on their plate you will be getting something different. I know I've said this many times, but it will be worth the wait.

  2. Over the last two days I scratched around and installed a relay at the end of the starter solenoid wire . I attached a larger automotive relay to the battery tray and ran my B+ from the battery through a fuse holder ( 20a) to the relay . Grounded the - to a 10mm bolt at the rear of the tank . The feed wire to the solenoid connection . The original solenoid wire energizes the new relay and the current goes through the larger relay . This will stop all relay problems and taxing the factory wiring and connections . I have done this a lot on equipment with Lucas starters that burn up neutral switches , solenoids , etc. P.S. I used 16 ga wire to go from the battery to relay and relay to solenoid .

  3. Like most projects it's 90% perseverance and 10% figuring out how to get someone else to do the work.

  4. I made my own copy of the factory stand, but I am out of town for two weeks. When I get back I can send you a sketch if you want it. I copied Cash1000's homemade stand, but added wheels and painted it red.

  5. The Italians were the masters. Who could forget the classic Ducati owners manual warning of "never start a cold motorcycle" Maybe they expected a big burner under the crankcases Ice racing style. Ciao

  6. Further update to the Manx trip - sadly we have decided to pull the plug on our little jolly to the Island as the wife of one of the original planners has taken a serious downturn in her very long battle with cancer and we all felt this wasn't the time for boats bikes and beers - the Island will always be there. Have had the Guzzi doctored and was to collect the beast today but domestic stuff cropped up so now its the morning(Sunday) - we have a little break in the Irish Summer rain for a few days so the hope is to cram in a few miles getting to know the old thing again. Will try to remember/remaster the art of sticking photos into the ether and send a few - its not a show bike but I have a few ideas for the cosmetics(doesn't everybody) Ciao for now.
