  2. Guy Went well in France and very comfortable! Since back the alternator has failed (warranty job) and I 've had the latest maps uploaded - makes the low speed throttle response much smoother and sorts out the hunting/surging at 3000rpm. I've done 2 more UK trips with wife on the back - very successful. See you've bought an ST - how's that performing? Phil
  3. Bruce It's just a small ball joint (try Google) with M5 (I think) threads. You will need to file/grind off the old one revitted to the lever connected to the throttele body very carefully. Phil
  4. There is a 'cut-out' in one side of the bearing spacer which enables you to get a drift to gain purchase on the bearing outer. Can't remember which side the cut out is on (could be turned round) but the drift needs to be 6-8 mm in diameter. Hope this helps/makes sense. Phil
  5. This is the horrible 'plastic' ball joint and the original is riveted to the plate attached to the injector. I assume that to replace it with a threaded item you would need to drill out the old one from ther plate and bolt the replacement to it? Phil
  6. The frame mounting points are quite high up on the timing casing - should be the same on all V11 models. I'm afraid the paint does come off particularly where hit be insects/road debris etc. I've already had my rocker covers resprayed once (doesn't effect performance though ). Phil
  7. I sat on the same bike at the show and still have a 2000 year green V11Sport in the garage. I don't think I'll ever sell it!! Phil
  8. Had a pint at Widdup on Saturday night - very nice!!!! Phil

If you're travelling solo then the Ventura system seems to work well on the V11 - I,ve been using their system with rack and grab handle for normal riding and it looks quite neat. Phil
  10. My T3 used to be exactly the same - never figured out whether it was ejecting or burning the 'excess' though. Phil
  11. I have used plain red Hamerite for the frame - seems to match quite well. Phil
  12. Welcome aboard! I'm definitely up for a meeting next year - will try out the tent/bar properly!! Hope everyone I met at this year's meet is well and keeping the shiny side up. Phil
  13. Suggest you try Teo Lamers in Holland (deatails on home page of this site) and Agostini's in Mandello. Good luck Phil
