    Resurrection

Should be fine if it hasnt seen too much weather. Apart from oil changes and filters.. new plugs, new tyres. There'd be a few things to check, like the earth on the back of the gear box is clean and earthing correctly. Change the relays. Lube all the moving parts and bearings like the ignition switch, levers, uni joints, swingarm bearings, headstock bearing, new fork oil and seals and probably rechroming the stauncions . New injectors or remove and clean. Same for the fuel pump - get it spinning by air before you apply power and burn out a seized pump. Check the oil pump, no chips in the teeth and spins ok. Spray oil everywhere in the engine and heads. Check and adjust valves tolerances. When you have checked everything, spin the engine up on the starter only (with kill switch on) a few times for about 10 secs each time and for a total of minute Or until the oil light goes out. This would generally happen after about 40secs but if it hasn't primed the oil system by 60secs, you should see if any oil is circulating before continuing. If all good, then start the bike. Ride..
  7. Added an aluminium rear hugger that i made. It took 6hrs because the 1st part needed were new mounts needed in the stand. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  8. The levers on the v11 have a small cup threaded in and the cup has the small rod go in to the master cylinder plunger. When you put the lever on, you would have found it hard and had to push the lever on to the rod to get it to go in to place. This has blocked the port although the lever and brakes would have seemingly worked fine, they would have come on and not just staying on but locked up as they got hot. Pretty common outcome if adding new levers and oblivious to this potential issue Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

  10. Seen another trend with aluminium sprockets on motorcycles "new light weight super strong cnc....yada yada" and they last about as long as you would expect. The chinese dudes selling it must be rolling around in laughter. These things are strong enough for a trophy or wall ornament but not for the a motorcycle sprocket. While I don't expect quite the same forces on the alum gears, they simply aren't the right material for longevity in this use.
  11. Hi Phil, where did you procure the gears from? Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

  14. Stainless steel wool. It won't need replacing anytime soon. Youre right, it doesn't quite suit and the reason imho is that pipe size is dependent on the tail size. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
  15. hi Stew, theres a few more pics of it on the build page
  16. The tail is not to everyone's taste. The pipes were custom made to my spec by the guy who alao made the original britten pipes. Hes now just down the road from me. Personally i think they would be great on a standard V11 Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

  20. Ride report, so far feels good. Better than original. I changed the porting on my compression fork and it felt pretty good, but there was no adjustment left. I've only just put them in and it feels as good without any adjustments done. So it should tune up even more. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

  22. Hey everyone, So did the forks on the weekend, took about 40mins. Lift the front wheel up, remove it. Loosen off triple clamp pinch bolts on top clamp only. Theres a small grub screw that secures the drain plug on each fork leg, loosen it off, then undo the drain plug. Place small container under fork leg where drain plug is. Undo off fork top. Fluid will drain out. Replace cartridges. And do process in reverse. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
