  1. I am sorry Scud but I have to very regretfully say WOW That is BEAUTIFUL RED. I wish on the 02 two tone LeMans that they made the valve covers and pork chops RED like that. Maybe the designer felt it would be a bit too much. But heck they could have saved a bit of coin on the pork chops since other models of the same year had Red ones.
  2. If these are the Woodcraft https://www.woodcraft-cfm.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?search=action&category=OOOX risers a few have talked about they look pretty good for a layman. Fixed.
  3. That is up to you. You either wish to have a fairing or you don't.
  4. I guess we have been dancing around the problem and that is what is a good Relay to replace the Omron Relay G8HN-1C2T-R DC12? And where would be the best place to purchase said Relay?
  5. I went to this thread. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19601&page=2&hl=%2Bpanasonic+%2Bcm1-r-12v#entry213395 And just sent an e mail to Cycle Terminal to see what a replacement would be for the Omron.
  6. Sorry Scud. As mentioned I did call them earlier today and was informed that they think it was discontinued as they have no information as to if they will be available for restock from the manufacturer. I asked about a replacement for the Omron and they gave me the part number for the Panasonic that I gave. They said that is as close as they had available except that it is smaller lol. Sorry I am not edumacated enough about electric thingamajigs. Just passing along the information I received. And looking for good replacement Relay's for the just in case for Murphy.
  7. Digi-Key just informed me there is no replacement by Omron. What they have for a replacement is a Panasonic CM1-R-12V Digi-Key part number 255-2185-ND Direct Link http://www.digikey.com/short/3rbz9c
  8. As the norm I asked wrong lol. They can powder coat them in the same Red?
  9. Good starter pile Scud. But I do have one odd question and that is you are going to powder coat the Red pork chops?
  10. If you want something with no emotions then you can find lots of Japanese bikes with more performance and better reliability with little to no feeling and for far less money. And they will get you from A to B and back to A again without a problem. But heck you have a 1973 Moto Guzzi Eldorado so I am pretty sure you already have a feeling for the Moto Guzzi power plant. The LeMans just handles better with a bit more performance. And with the little fairing will help keep half of the bugs off Just do not smile too much but doing so will be tough on a Moto Guzzi LeMans.
  11. I will also add that it depends on how much you want one lol. As they do not pop up all the time for sale as it is no cookie cutter Japanese bike. Moto Guzzi makes maybe a few hundred unlike the Japanese companies that make many thousands of a particular bike. And then out of those few hundred how many make it to the shores of America. But I will add that due to the lack of the Moto Guzzi of which makes them a not well known motorcycle they are usually far undervalued for what they are. Or to say you get far more motorcycle then the funds spent for used. But then again since you are a Moto Guzzi owner you know this already.
  12. Great Work as always. It almost makes me wish to go out and find an old stove to do powder coat with but alas no place to plug it in lol. I wonder if a gas stove would work?
  13. I have not seen this mentioned and I have looked lol. But yes I could have missed it. But Do our little minuscule moped Spine Frame LaMans need a Pirelli Angel GT A Spec rear tire over the standard Pirelli Angel GT Rear tire? Just would like to know when the current Pirelli ST is worn out. On a side note I have to say it is sure nice to have a round profile tire. Replaced the dead front tire today with a Pirelli Angel GT.
  14. Since I have never listened to these systems what is the difference between say the Mistral Stainless Oval Mufflers and the Mistral Round Stainless Revers Cone mufflers? Is there a particular preference between one design or the other?
  15. He just likes to show those pictures off to make the people in other parts of the country that have to wear 10 coats just to get there mail jealous lol.
  16. Awwwwwwwwww What the heck I will throw this out there. For rusted bolts I use a home brew that works better than anything store purchased. And that is 50% ATF Transmission fluid and 50% Acetone. If one wished they can substitute the Acetone with Lacquer Thinner. Scud by the way if anyone has not informed you of this as of late you are a Nut. But like anyone else I enjoy the nuttiness. Great Work as Always.
  17. Tom M run with it. It can be as cheap or expensive as you wish it to be. Not to mention as blingy or as plain as you wish.
  18. You could replace it with this from Ghezzi Brian http://www.ghezzi-brian.com/en/tuning-moto/tuning-moto-guzzi/v11-1100-sport-daytona-centauro/push-rod/ There are options other than store purchase if one wishes. You can make them out of Delrin or a form of poly that is used in many performance suspension systems. But as mentioned on this forum if one uses a polyurethane then it is highly recommended to lube them well with a molly grease or they will squeak but then again heck they still may squeak lol. But it would not be hard to install a zerk fitting to throw lubricant on them now and again.
  19. Ummmmmm What do you mean for its day lol. I do not think anything made by Moto Guzzi today looks as good as the V11 Sport/LaMans bikes. But hey I have been told a time or two I am getting old lol. But I have had a wild thought of a breathed on Moto Guzzi 1400 cc Engine placed in a V11 chassis. Or why not a Super Charger placed on top of the engine between the cylinders. A smaller whipple design would be nice fed by a newer fuel injected throttle body or old school with a Holley 750 DP.
  20. You forgot the Biggest reason. The other bikes are Not a Moto Guzzi Scura.
  21. Scud very nice work and if all goes well you will not have to do it again for at least a couple of years.
  22. Just for future knowledge how many of those relays on the link given is needed to replace the factory 5?
  23. There is an option I think as I have seen a thread where someone actually made a shifter that would work right off of the transmission output shaft with no linkage needed. Sorry it was the wrong link lol. I know nothing about it but some information would be GRAND.
  24. Greg Field Thank You so much for the wright up and outstanding picture tutorial of the Roper Plate installation. This looks to be old news but there will always be Newbies looking to maintain and or improve upon there either newly acquired Moto Guzzi V11 or old time riders of the same that were not aware of such a good product that will help there beloved Moto Guzzi V11 to live a long happy life thus allowing us to do the same upon the metal steed. As I will be sure to use this valuable information soon.
  25. Beautiful work. The Elves were sure busy.
