  1. I got one of these for the Eldo: http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/product.asp?Item=AS
  2. My tripmeter is way off, 10% at least. I got 42 MPG on my stock V11 untill my wife woke me up and said I was giggling in my sleep. We get a LIVE GP race on the Rickey Bobby channel? Will wonders never cease. DW
  3. I like to think this is informational rather than silly banter but feel free to move it. Silver V11 sighted, I didn't see a red frame. Suomy? hemet that was quite colorful. Someone on the board? Houston Street, NYC 6:30 approx. I was sitting outdoors with the loopframe parked out front enjoying a pizza at Arturos as part of my personal tour of NYC's legendary pizza shops. Shops on the Tour so far: Grimaldis: Original location under the Brooklyn Bridge. Neopolitan style thin crust. good pizza fresh from the brick oven. Bottom of the pie was soggy necessitating knife and fork. Brooklyn Pilsner in the bottle soothed the saltiness away. Lombardis: Expanded original location in Little Italy. Cash only, ATM at the bar next to jukebox. Good Neopolitan style pizza as you would expect from this 100 YO storefront. New higher prices unaccompanied by better service. Redone interior lacks charm as does waitstaff. $6 Sam Adams fails to remove sensation of being ripped off. V&T: Columbia College's landmark pizza at 112 and Amsterdam. Ask for the SDS table in a darkened corner to plot the overthrow of bourgeouis society. Another redone interior adds charm! Clean and spacious, it's a real restaurant that your significant other will not frown at. Reasonable prices! Aged male waitstaff! Great pizza if a little heavy on the crust. Good for marathon pre-event meal. Arturos: NYU spot/neighborhood legend. Looks like a 1900s row house converted to restaurant. Unisex bathroom has a full tub! Good food, bad brain-dead waitstaff. By the time my Brooklyn Lager appeared I wanted to throw it at the inked-up forty-something hostette. Crusty Neopolitan blackened by contact with the coal-fired brick oven. Sauce on top of cheese a new sensation. We had a plain pie in deference to the taste of the six year old at our table. A little spendy but I might return if I am in the area again. We repaired to see Dave Alvin and the Guilty Men at the pier. Great show. Texas style blues rock that your significant other can dance to. Ripping solos and fine piano/organ work. See them! Hire them for a rally/wedding/bar mitzvah http://www.sliceny.com/
  4. How many people would like one just out of interest? Pete Meeeeeeee! Just tuck it in your carry on and I'll meet you in VT. on Rt 100. DW
  5. "...and shipped to the USA I think they ended up costing something like $95US" Homeland security is going to have a field day with your luggage. DW

    candy

(46000 NOK = 9200 euros, believe me thats a good price in Norway...) Oh hell no! What is that strapping holding the exhaust on? I presume there is some crazy tax situation keeping you from loading all the unridden and unsaleable Guzzis in the US into a container... DW
  7. I sold my project to a NYC Canadian to finance my '04 Sport purchase. Now he wants a Griso: http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/mcy/177944825.html These are old photos: He had a Honda previously (snicker) DW

    Right idea

    No supercharger? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vm9YzdhfO14...sized%2Ddevices DW
  9. Young master LaNasa rode my bike the other day and was suprised by the fact that it was lower than his Rosso Corsa. I am going to try the Corbin Seat as I like the stocker less and less. DW
  10. I just got an email from Corbin. They said the seat they make will fit my '04 Nekkid.
  11. I buy Bosch WR7 platinum and bin them with the oil filter (every other oil change) at 6K. The NGKs that came with the bike looked NASTY at the first service. Like this, only blacker: I hope to see improvement as the bike breaks in. DW
  12. Ha, Ha ha -- Kidding, right? Not kidding? O.K. Shortly after purchasing my V11 Sport I went for a ride with "Tonti" Tom LaNasa. About halfway through we switched bikes. He rode my Sport, I rode his immaculate, spare no expense, 1000S. I liked his bike, it was, er, stable What it lacked was power, brakes and handling. Dunno about rear suspension as I am not an expert. If you want Tom's impressions his handle is Blackkat and he is on this board. He still has three Tontis to go with the Rosso he bought after riding my bike. DW Tom is smiling in this picture
  13. He sounded a little ticked off. A disgruntled MV Agusta Owner...?
  14. From NYC Craigslist: http://newyork.craigslist.org/mnh/mcy/159453648.html
  15. Give a post when you want to go for a ride. There are a couple of fellows in the area. Bar Matchless is a good spot on mondays for Guzzisti who want a chin wag. DW
  16. http://newyork.craigslist.org/jsy/mcy/154830395.html Someone is selling their toy chest. Trumpet, Notrun, no V7 Sport? DW
  17. Balloons? No, I don't have your balloons kid. Now scram!
  18. Please Tom, no V11 content in this topic! My $10 loopframe from 'bama bikes is not coming. I was promised a check in full restitution. I like this frame better anyway. It came with a horn, centerstand, brake hardware and passenger pegs. A steal! DW
  19. Honey, can I borrow your car? NO! Uh, O.K. sweetie I'll take the bike. The Eldorado for this trip I think. Buzz down to the local shop and... I'll take the third frame from the end please: Tie it down carefully: Ready to roll: It rode surprisingly well but the bumps were scary. I took the back streets 'cause it was rush hour and I couldn't lane split --- LOL DW
  20. Ouch! Been there, done that. Omar wants $109 for a new screen (the transparent part). I will be heading to Canal Plastic to see what they have in a bulletproof smoke. "Tonti" Tom LaNasa is sending me a care package from Florida to take care of the busted signal. The rest is touch up. I got the Gurus on shuffle play this morning: "I was a kamikaze pilot they gave me a plane ...I coudn't fly it!"
  21. I'm going to have to ring Omar about a new top for my Bikini... Apparantly the cager/SUV/'70s love van picked the bike back up. No note tho. DW
  22. "The hotter the temp, the better your mileage will be." Ain't that the truth! I'm suprised none of the electric boffins on the Guzzinet have come up with a plug-in solution to the temperature problem. My assumption is: The sensor reads head temps as cold and richens the fuel to compensate. John T. suggests a second map for the PC III for cold weather but that is not practical for rides with big elevation and temperature changes. I await your wisdom... DW
  23. It's a big city but you'll get a nice Guzzi welcome. If the area riders want to get together for some weekend fun we can meet at Bear Mtn. or take a spin up to the Gunks and ride around the Ashokan reservoir once or twice. The town of Woodstock is somewhat famous... DW
