Nutty Wankel-like motor for the famous Ecomobile

Longish video of how the motor works:

I just had the battery out and back in and it is a tight squeeze.
Something like this perhaps:

One hot and one cold would indicate that one coil is not being triggered. For my bike (950 SP motor) it was a sign of immanent Dyna death. With points I would look for gapping and grounding issues. Charge up that battery and have at it. A dead coil would be a neat solution -- How often do we see it? Not very.

My '04 Naked is all stock --Except for the Power Commander.
Wanna borrow it for testing purposes?
Since it is mapped for a stock bike all you would have to do is plug it in and stash it under the seat.
If you like it, buy one from Todd and send mine back.
It is very cold in NYC and My bike is going to be sitting for a while yet.

Find the Power commander in this picture:
A Swedish club patch or some other European Guzzi patch will do nicely. Typically, the humor I intended did not translate.
I will trade you one for one or two for two, whatever you prefer
Blackcat seems to think that my jacket should have a patch that says: "Eat to ride, ride to eat". If only they made one...
How many do you want?
I'll trade you for the equivalent Swedish patch/patches
It's not necessary for the patch to mention: shaft, rod, piston, stroke, jugs, big twins, I do it with a round head, etc. We are a sedate and modest group here in NYC.

Hi Michael, I did exactly the same thing to my bike and it survived without damage. Give me a ring if you want another set of eyes/hands.

Hmm, I guess I will try Canal Plastics.
If all else fails I will walk across Canal Street to Aerospace metals and overpay for a piece of aluminum to replace the screen.
Bend with care there Ratchet

Commuting in NYC traffic this summer got things as hot as they are going to get with no change in shifting. I mail-ordered some RedLine Shok-pruf (sp?) And it's sitting on the shelf now.

'04 Sport 5K miles.
My transmission has always been very smooth but has begun to be more notchy and crunchy. Not bad, just not as smooth as before. In particular, the shift from neutral to first gear at a stop has begun to hang up, requiring two pokes of the lever or a bit of clutch action to drop in.
Two thoughts are:
(1) The new Yat fat put in at 3K is not the special Himalayan blend recommended by internet pundits the world over. Replace with approved fat.
(2) The clutch is not clutching completely and needs bleeding, adjustment, fluid replacement.
Happy Holidays to all!

Paging Mr. Blackkat, Mr. Blackkat to the red courtesy phone...
The fun part is riding them back to back on a twisty road. You don't realize how hard it is to get the early bikes to change direction until you ride the same route on a V11.
Apart from power, brakes and handling the V11 is no real improvement over the '70s models.

Nice job Greg, aesthetics are why we ride Guzzis after all. When I first saw the Coppa paint scheme I thought it has sooo over the top. Now I think it will be one of those niche bikes you see at Guzzi rallys "Oohh, a Coppa!"

I set up Mrs. Guzziownr's computer in the driveway with an extension cord from the garage. I was happily loading maps when she came home and gave me THE LOOK and went inside without saying anything.

Air must go in for fuel to go out to your injectors.
Check the archives. My solution was to zip tie the fuel hose one-way valve in the upright and locked position. It sucked from new and was cured instantly with this fix.
