  2. Welcome to the forum Walt ..... and welcome to another Canadian!! While you are waiting for spring (several months away this year from what I see) ..... we all love to see pictures and stories of your bike. Where did you buy your bike? I saw a green V11 for sale at the bike meet at Paris, Ontario last summer but that one looked a little rough. cheers Jim
  3. I haven't met you in person so I can't comment as to whether that would be a good or bad idea for you ..... Ooooops .... did I say that?
  4. It was restored/retroized by an American .... While you are looking ..... make, model, year, rake and trail for this one!!!!
  5. Ok ... but who did the restoration? ...... and why isn't that girl in the Hooters thread? Or should we start a new thread .... "The Backside of Hooters"? Sent from FRED (Fricking Ridiculous Electronic Device)
  6. You have to do a little more research than just what make this is ... I'll let you know when you've found out enough!!
  7. Yep ..... I knew a "good" mechanic who screwed up a D'ellorto 36 mm carb for me by drilling out a blocked jet ..... unfortunately he drilled right through the carb body. He also screwed up the tuning on his Triumph TT600 after he installed performance cams ..... he bought some kind of ECU cheater for the bike and when it didn't run right after riding and fiddling he declared it was beyond tuning. I mentioned that on a job of that scale that dyno tuning would probably be the best and easiest way and he said that's the way he always tuned .... by the seat of his pants. Since that was the first fuel injected bike he had ever tried to tune he declared that fuel injection is un-tuneable. He then went on to screw up the tuning on several other bikes ..... (although he is good at changing tires). You are safe Dave .... he will never go to Australia ....

  9. I don't mind your rant at all ..... Sent from FRED (Fricking Ridiculous Electronic Device)
  10. From the 2002 Long Frame on, the rear rim is 5.5 inches and came with a 180 tire. Yet, some have found the same issues and dropped to a 170 on the 5.5 inch rim. I have a 2000 Ducati Monster and the only time I had a 180 rear tire that worked well was a Pirelli track tire (used). The stock 180 and a Dunlop I tried all made it turn slower. I switched to a 170 and it was night and day .... however I did have to raise the rear suspension and drop the forks slightly. Same on my V11 ...... it just works sooooo much better with a 160. I'll need new tires this spring so I am glad for all the great feedback here!
  11. There are replicas on ebay but they are all mechanical drive... the photo you have is of a replica - replica's have phillips screws on the tacho face whilst the originals are slotted screws . If you can figure out how to convert them you could have a very authentic looking tacho ...... http://www.ebay.ca/itm/DUCATI-BEVEL-SINGLE-250-350-450-TACHOMETER-VEGLIA-/151084353048?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item232d544618&vxp=mtr&_uhb=1
  12. Is that one made in England or America .... and if it is made in England, does it have the 2-stroke or the 4-stroke engine? Edit: I found a better picture and it looks like it has the Blackburne four-stroke side-valve engine so it would be a Ner-A-Car and not a Neracar.
  13. Cable drive to the ride by wire mechanism ....
  14. There you go ..... a test run (this one should be easy). Sent from FRED (Fricking Ridiculous Electronic Device)

  16. That is going to be my goal sometime soon .... flying is going to slow down .... riding is going to ramp up!!! Yes .... there were some good people that had a hard time here .... no fingers pointed at anyone ... we all had freedom to make choices. Maybe it's time for some " I heart V11LeMans.com" bumper stickers!!!
  17. I wish it was as simple as that .....! I truly have no idea what the hell is going on there .... there is some kind of crash test dummy seated backwards and the rest ....???????
  18. This bike has problems too .... I just can't quite figure out what the problem is ....?!? Uploaded with ImageShack.us
