  1. I think around page 10 Greg dishes out some useful info ...
  2. The NUMBER ONE topic on this forum with over 294,000 views!!!!! How appropriate!
  3. This one has over 29,000 views ... http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1201&hl=+rake%20+trail&page=1
  4. I suspect that a LOT of beer would be required to understand this thread ......
  5. I have strong reason to believe that your real identity is Hazel Blears. This appears to be irrefutable evidence. Scientific statement: 'There is loads of proof'. Hey Belfast ....!!! What are you up to these days?
  6. There is some steering angle details buried in this thread .... but you'll have to read the whole thread to find it ......... hehehehehe!!!! http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=15075&page=1
  7. Just reread this thread: Q: Who "Needs" a Steering Damper? .... WOW!!!! Ratchehack, dlaing and Greg Field going at it. Docc flexing his moderator muscles too!! [Moderator edit: Posts redirected here from other, especially Technical Topics. Have fun. but still play nicely, docc]
  8. Docc .... I forget the actual numbers but I vaguely remember Greg Field posting the details at some point. What little I remember is the Rosso Mandello had the early frame and steeper rake but different triple clamps with a different trail. I have looked for that post but cannot find it yet. I will keep looking ....
  9. Hahahahaha ........ PML (pissed myself laughing). You've set the mark a bit higher there ...... I'll have to dig deep to see what's nest!
  10. Now that sounds quite interesting!! I'll have to search out something interesting to try when I'm next in my workshop!!
  11. Next December is the Scotch Whisky Advent Calendar .....!!! I'm sure I'll be able to drag a few more unusual beers in here that I wish I could share with you all ...
  12. You have that right Andy. There are times when I think the goal of some of the microbrews is to concoct a blend that no one else has with no regard to the actual taste .... don't get me started on 'pumpkin' ales ....! However some beers I truly do like ..... and yes the black IPA is a silly name (another favourite beer of mine is called a cascadian dark ale - dark roasted malt and typical IPA Cascade hops so the name is much better suited in my view) so although some of the naming has a bit of growing up to do it is nice to have an ever expanding choice of good beer. My education is far from done but if you ever come to British Columbia I'll do my best to help expand your horizons. I'm hoping to get over to Sconnie Botland this summer and see what I can find there to further enhance my feeble knowledge. Seasons Greasings everyone and cheers to the New Year!!!
  13. Dec 24 Last one .... I forgot to post ... distracted by the season!! Black IPA Brasserie Dunham, Dunham, Quebec This is what a black IPA should be ... a bit of bitter roast to the malt and a bit of bitterness to the hops .... but neither one overpowering. The finish was a light bitterness with an almost medicinal taste .... like Grannies old cough medicine .... but that flavour was gone and a nice floral note finished off at the end. 14. now thats kn cool man, heres a few I have found over the years What is the third bike in that lineup?
  15. .... or even better .... tank located some distance from bike ...... I think it landed in some shrubs!!
  16. Kiwi Roy's Global Guzzi Electric Call Centre ...... what would we do without him?
  17. Ok ... you've made your point. Does your hat have a point? Maybe if it did ... people would notice!!
  18. Dec 23 Low Life Pilsner Brewed by Evil Twin Brewing, Stratford, Connecticut I don't like calling this type of beer a pilsner because it doesn't taste like a pilsner. It is a lager beer and it has a very strong hop content. I did like it but I really don't care for lagers with strong hops so it did surprise me. It was quite enjoyable when it was cold but as it warmed up the taste was not as appealing. It would go very well with food. Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  19. Dec 22 Hop Noir Black India Pale Ale Peak Organic Brewing, Portland, Maine Very nice ..... sharp dark malt .... not too bitter and not overloaded with hops but still an extremely full tasy ting beer. Very nice!! Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  20. Dec 21 American Standard Ale Tap It Brewing Co., San Luis Obispo, California Nice simple pale ale .... medium hops and well balanced malt but nothing fancy. As the bottle says ... Session Pale Ale. It would be nice well chilled on a hot day and also just as nice at just below room temperature. Any guesses as to the Guzzi content in the second picture? 21. First of all .. two things!! One ... pictures would help the techno-dudes who know the internals. Two .... remember that one fork does compression and one fork does rebound so I don't think they will look the same side to side .... but again this is for the techno-dudes who know such shyte. Sad about the mechanic and sorry about your forks.
  22. Dec 20 Lighthouse Winter Ale Lighthouse Brewing Company, Esquimault, BC I was looking forward to this one ... a winter ale and 6.5% sounds good ..... but this beer was weak and not full of flavour like I expected. I think the higher alcohol made the weak flavour even worse. Nothing much else to say .....
