  1. well: daytona, scura, stelvio, I have a lust for a bit different bikes :-)
  2. I didn't follow this thread for a few days, but now it looks pretty weird. Hubert who doesn't have a 4v guzzi, questions the statements of someone who has the parts in his hands and deals with it every day. Without any prooof. Isn't that weird?
  3. This is a Guzzi, so after disconnecting the battery, drink some grappa.
  4. there is a new stelvio on ebay located in long beach CA 4 days to go
  5. mark, ducati isn't doing good with the sportclassic range, they don't sell. I suppose Guzzi is going to a one engine strategy(except the small bocks), all more is waste. So new cali gets the 4v, then the norge too, they do have that almost with the 1200sport 4v. Only 2v left is the bellagio then, and if they are going to keep it, I think it does not sell well, the last 2v can be a 4v too. As one of the Piaggio bosses tol in an interview: what sense does it make to have two 1200 cc engines in production, that have no parts in common? We all know which one is leaving then. The Tonti is dead, unless you now all get a new tonti. Most Guzzisti are 45+ so a bit more comfort is a good thing. And the comfort the new bikes have is so much more then the old tontis. Keep the old tonti in the shed for the memorys, and buy a carc one to make miles.
  6. well, it was: Saturday first with jdgretz to the Rock store, after that to Motoguzzi classics, where I met Ed Milich and Guzzimike. sundag griffith observatory, with a walk over the mountain, the the brea tar pits , the museum of modern art next to it, and finished with the Getty thing. It must be a good place to live if you see this. Only the roads are bad, a Stelvio market.
  7. no that fits too, the daytona rs has that size. The bike wil be a bit lower rear, so compensate that with dropping the forks in the triple clamps.
  8. For business, I'm in Los Angeles next week to visit a Microsoft conference. The first weekend I'm free, so what is recommended to do there? Something Guzzi related?
  9. I read that he really likes the Griso, and put a new front tyre on it.
  10. same guy, and almost same system
  11. But antonio, I got my 1200 sport with a dead battery, bought a new one (170euro!) And 2 days later it didn't start anymore. Wasn't the battery, but the inside of the cable ends that connect to it, they were just slightly corroded. I cleaned that, and since then 100% cranking power. Your battery doesn't need a gadget like you got.
  12. JM, did his bike have problems before the recal work?
  13. Or the dealer made a mistake when reassembeling the engine.
  14. The bearingsurfaces look rough, but hard to tell from the pictures. Interesting is, started this with the cams or tthe tappets?
  15. I didn't use them, but in my opion, they are to high. So you can't put force on them in a corner. I put my rests on the place where you all have the swingarm pivot. That's high enough.
  16. you shouldn't post in multiple forums the same questions
  17. mirrors like on the 1200 sport are fine, is same as several aprilia's and stelvio. And not expensive.
  18. Yes sealed, but the original inner ring has a hole in it, so there the water and dust can come in too.
  19. nice work. Luhbo, the bearing is sealed. A tiny seal, but it is sealed.
  20. swing arm is a product of dynotec. made to make a 180 tyre possible with wheel in center, and have a floating reardrive
  21. The Dynotec le mans has a modern geometry, steering head angle adjusted. It should drive like a modern bike. Rear drive is floating just like the v11.
  22. that is 15.9 mm, should do it. I have these for years, no problem. here they are: http://www.sd-tec.de/catalog/product_info....52a035dee63996e http://www.gothamcycles.com/servlet/the-76...ke-Rotor/Detail But Ducati now uses the same as Guzzi :-( New ducati part, from 749 and on: http://www.gothamcycles.com/servlet/the-77...ke-Rotor/Detail
  23. Duc bots, head height 6.7mm, socket 6mm
