  1. I was there this week and it was closed.
  2. I'm currious too, to know too why they changed the v11 sport frame. I have allways thought it was bad press. At the time the german magazines had bad things about it. And just at that moment Aprilia took the factory over, and wanted to make an end with te bad press. But they changed not only the frame angle/lenght. The front engine-frame mount is made stiffer, and more important, the rear part between engine and frame is made more stiff, with the extensions to the engine. That last change is the most important one I think. My Daytona has a even one degree steeper angle then the v11 sport. And doesn't do strange things. But more things changed so this is no good comparison.
  3. german dutch german There is no Swiss language. The people of Switzerland speak many languages. They are influenced by the languages of France, Germany, Italy and Austria. A majority of the people, around 64%,speak German or the German influenced Swiss dialect of "Schwyzerdütsch." Around 19% of the Swiss people speak French. Another 8 % of the Swiss population speaks Italian while 1 % speaks Raeto-Romanic or Romansch.
  4. well , everyone makes his own discicions. Six years ago I was up to something new. There wasn't a bike I really wanted so decided to build my own dreambike. I put the money in changing the Daytona. Now thats the way I like it. Lighther, much better handling. And then I found that I wanted another sort of bike, where I could travel with my wife with more comfort. So I bought a Stelvio. In september we will see if it is what it was bought for, then we will be making a trip to Italy. I'm currious if such a bmw will be fun in the long term ownership. It certenly looks clever, well made and also a bit boring.
  5. If it isn't made for a hollow axle, you can swap the bottoms for those of the aprilia mounted ohins. But it is way to much money and work for the difference, to swap these parts.
  6. the blinkers need no ground, just the wires that were on the original blinker lamp should do.
  7. it looks alu. Don't get fooled by the idea, titanium isn't so much lighter, if it is at all. Mostly its only the outside that is different, it would do more if all internals were titanium. That's another price class. I know someone who has them without PC.
  8. no thats a compete front to end solution, with 2 silencers, and sounds very good, deep. And the guy Ive seen with it on it's v11 was fast.
  9. ok its axone 2000 a handheld tester with a computer inside. Look for a guzzi/aprilia dealer, they have them.
  10. A dealer should be able to solve it for you, the tool that guzzi has for it is called Axeone
  11. well look at the distance between head pipe, and the front engine frame mounting. Thats more then only one degree would make. looks like + an inch in the top picture and a few mm in the bottom.
  12. well see here a picture of a 2002 le mans frame. The change is just behind the head pipe. or here a picture with on top a newly welded headpipe(not mine), and a v11 2000 frame.
  13. Well if you look better, Eric used a Hossak front setup, so the wheel can be very close to the alternator. And he used a 5 speed gear box, when he made it the six speed wasn't even born. I put a six speed in his shop, and with a new rearcover the chain conversion could be integrated in the gearbox. It's that he doesn't have the time, beause he is to busy.
  14. You can have my drawing for the pivots. well for Carc, you will need the gearbox too, has been done in Rome. @ratchethack: no the angle is the same, only the lenghtend the frame just behind the steerding head.
  15. well if you need parts from the marzocchi, I have a pair that's not staight anymore, but all other parts should be fine.
  16. cheaper to get a complete bike with all stuff: With ohlins rear too. http://cgi.ebay.de/Moto-Guzzi-Griso-Sport-...3A1%7C294%3A200
  17. well, I don't know if your bike is in his shop until he returns from holiday, but I think if you phone TLM (www.tlm.nl) that they have it in stock, and can get it very quick to you. Maybe some shops in england too, but I don't know who has what there. part 30157400 If you can take the tank of, then getting the thing on should be a DIY job.
  18. 1. the rpm is yellow/black 2. if your dash has no alternator light, then there is no connection to make for that, then you can use tat light for anything else. If it has,,there is a (light) blue wire for the lima grau 3.yes, so one of the red/black wires can be used. 4.yes It depends a bit on what instruments/ year you have later years have a different alternator/reflicter.
  19. I got my Stelvio. Now waiting for the paperwork.
  20. you shouldn't spin tubes to get text right, the way they go on it's own is as it should be.
