  1. heres mine (to lurk or not to lurk?) ready for Cali last summer
  2. Thanks for the pointers. The bike was sent to the shop for a full maintenance so Ill have Gord check the wheel bearings, [hes probly on it anyway] Next stop, need to eliminate the fuel pump vapour lock before Laguna Seca in July. Helicopter Jim any word on the velocity stacks?
  3. After letting my bike sit for a couple of weeks, first ride out while doing the first deceleration on compression I heard a dry bearing somewhere. Seemed to be related to speed rather than RPM. Only heard it the one time but would like to track it down early, any ideas? 22k's on the bike if that helps P.S. I luuuuve my bike. I might own another bike one day but Ill still own this one. Know of any mod's I can do so I can acually have sex with my bike?
  4. For simplicitys sake here was my solution {no photo, sorry} After purchasing the carbon fiber rear hugger I took a disk grinder and carved down the original to a simular shape as your fabricated one to serve as the shock protector. Drilled a couple of holes and zip tied it on. Took about 30 mins. looks pretty good but its basically hidden anyway
  5. Trying to work day and night eh Jim. In true form of a pilot Im trying to fly hungover!!
  6. ok ok, maybe it was a little over the top so I removed the more more explicit photos but just so you know no actual gingerbreadmen or women were harmed during filming of this post. But part of the appeal of this site, for me at least is that not only is it hugely informative as a fellow motorcycle enthusist but it is also a good source of humour and entertainment. My apolgies to those offended. The administration here I think realizes the value of this I think and generally has fair cencorship policies but do keep this in mind Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerly exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be bettter to live under robber barons than under omnipotent busybodies. The robber barons cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of thier own conscience---CS Lewis Again my apologies, all was meant in fun
  7. This is for you Tex
  8. Hads the same problem but personally I think it has almost nothing to do with how you ride, just pump location. Mine failed after stopping for gas (0 airflow obviously) in 40 degree weather. pump just sat there soaking up the heat off the cylinders. Nothing more enjoyable than sitting at a gas station for an hour in the summer!!! Think Ill do a search right now for the pump relocation thread before summer hits again. Question--- If I install K-Ns is there room between them somewhere for the pump? Filter too?
  9. Nothing but compliments hey Jim!!! Glad to be there for the unvieling, the only crappy part was trying to get home on the coquihalla in sub-zero temps because you were so frickin late. Had to pull over at the toll booth because my hands were too cold to get 5 bucks out of my pocket. On the plus side I got away with riding 100 MPH all the way home to minimize the pain. Cant wait to hear it run Jim!!!
  10. P.S. Im red white and green with envy ya bastard!!
  11. WAY TO GO!!!!! If I cant swindle my way out of a shift at work so I can go to the unvieling at ValleyMG I bring some vino to work with me to cheers ya Jim. Im sure a pre celebration wont hurt your feelings hey? Either way see ya next week Jim---good going!!---Chris
  12. Great bike Frankie!!! The pipes really clean it up. Also checking out the lights mounted in the tail fairing. Are they custom? is there a kit available? Im going to be mounting a fender eliminator kit w/ small LED brake light but the size of the light gives me some reservations about some f'ing doughhead rear ending me. If coupled with the same lights on your bike I could have clean and seen!!
  13. Nice Tex!!! Just wondering how you got a picture of my Mom??
  14. Thank You for veiwing another episode of "Polish Idol"
  15. Jim Jim Jim, stay on topic would ya
  16. You know me Jim, I just order the part and avoid asking the price. See ya at Dunkley, Im there already
  17. Most men can stand adversity, if you want to test a mans character give him (guzzi) power---Abe Lincoln
  18. I havent been terribly happy with the shifting on my bike (although my experience level is likely part of the problem). But it does sound like the Argal footpegs might be a good addition for a more possitive system. Where do I find them? Im sure Ive seen them on the net before but dont recall the source (looked sharp!)
  19. Going to pick it up in Chilliwack today. But I did see one installed on that green v11 from before. Makes it look super clean. Cant wait till the c. f. hugger comes in to go with. Be stylin' by the time I get spring thaw up here! Thinking seriously about the trip to Cali u were talking about by the way (april?)
  20. Good to hear Jim!! Any progress on registering v10 in Can. after all the Customs shite?
  21. Kudos Brian, Little bit too much ice and gravel up in the interior where I live though--Chris
  22. Perusing the V11 service manual and noticed the Rosso Mandello has a somewhat different flywheel assembly than my v11 Sport. I have btter parts to juice up first (i.e. high comp. pistons) but would the Rosso flywheel be a worthwhile upgrade for future consideration? Happy New Year!!
