  1. I like the commercial where the guy pulls up on a chopper with a Honda 750 engine but of course it sounds like a Harley with straight pipes.
  2. Hey, I saw gargoyle! Oh wait, that's me. I saw lot's of people but I'm terrible with names. I also have pictures but I need to go through and downsize all of them since I shot them all at 6M. Stand by for future posts. It was a good rally. Now at most national type rallys I've been to they usually anounce the site for next years. Did I miss that? Where is next years national going to be held? Inquiring minds want to know.
  3. Well considering I've only owned my LeMans for roughly 2 months I'm not in the market for a bike. But...I'd sure like to figure out how to adapt that altenator to my 04. Also those bags in black would look pretty good too.
  4. I'm going to be there! I'm leaving Friday morning after I get off work. This will be my second MG rally. I also went to the Virginia Rally a couple of weeks ago. I racked up 2300 miles in 6 days on my LeMans for that one so this one should be a piece of cake.
  5. Have you tried bypassing the relay. Rig up a jumper with a switch and go directly from the battery to the output pin of the relay. You could also try going directly to the pump to see if it spins.
  6. Welcome aboard I'm still rather new to MG too. I bought an 2004 LeMans in May and I'm out on my first trip now. As for bags I'm running the RKA 36L expandables and so far so good. I left you a link to their site. Good luck with Bella! http://www.rka-luggage.com/pages/09sadbag/saddle.html

    Fuel tank removal

"to remove the fuel tank, disconnect the quick disconnects from the tank". Just how do these quick disconnects, disconnect? I've poked, pulled and prodded but they don't budge. HELP!!!
  8. Very nice indeed and I very much like the dragon!

Well it isn't bad looking from the right side but then you move over to the other side and you are met with what has to be the largest muffler ever installed on a motorcycle. You'll notice that none of the publicity shots are of the left side.
  10. I just had to bolt them on. All the mods that needed to be done were compelted by the previous owner of the pegs and are covered in the thread to which I have supplied a link to below. http://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3391&hl=
  11. Let me see if I get this right. Your friend is going to give you damaged tires for free because I'm sure he isn't giving you new tires for free. If he IS giving you new tires for free then go for it! If it is the old tires, WHY? Why would you want to put a previously damaged tire on your bike? I can see no upside to the second case. I know if I had to plug a tire while on a trip that tire would be getting replaced as soon as I got home. We only have two between us and the road and I want to know that they are not damaged.
  12. I installed my new Buel footpegs. What a difference that little inch makes. Much more confortable. Time for an Iron Butt run. Well maybe just a trip to Virginia to try'em out.
  13. Here are some pics of the head protectors.
  14. I'm going to have to jump in too. That is a really great shot! Two great looking bikes and scenery to match. I now return this thread to it's rightful owner.
  15. Thanks for the link. I would have never discovered that one. I put a bid in on one and lost but then an hour later I got a second chance email so I bought one.
  16. Has anybody ever seen some sort of front fender extension that would make it more functional? I would be very interested in something like that.
  17. "great food" That is an understatement. RA is known to have some of the best on track food at any track. It is done by a variety of local groups and they serve some of the best! I unfortunatley can't make it as I just got back from an Alabama trip on the Concours and now I'm getting the LeMans ready for her first trip to the Virginia Rally. I highly recommend this weekend to anybody who can go. It is a really good time.
  18. Thank you very much!!! The triple screwdriver insert into slot tip worked instantly. I don't know why I didn't think of that one. I had tried prying each one separately but that obviously didn't work. Well the install now continues.
  19. Well I'm all set to install my new Convertabars. I've watched the CD, read the instructions. I get to the part "remove the triple-tree" and it won't come off. What am I missing here? All bolts have been removed but it won't budge. This is really frustrating. I did a search and everybody during their install just say that they removed the triple-trees. Why won't mine come off? HELP!!! Well I finally got them installed. I'm hoping to go for a ride tomorrow or whenever these thunder boomers leave the area. I had enough of riding through orange radar blobs last week so I'll wait for clearer weather to try them out. I'm already liking what it feels like just sitting on her. Actually except for the triple-tree thing it was pretty straight forward install. My biggest decision was whether to drill or not to drill holes for the pins and I decided to remove the pins. It gave me a little more flexability on the install. Even with stock cables and a little rerouting it is definatlely more upright. If I were to go to longer clutch and brake lines I would get another 1.5" rise and 2" back. This should still make the trip to the Virginia rally much easier.
  20. I'm curious, you can't change the exhaust from stock over there :!: ? Who made up that silly law?
  21. Really nice pics! I especially like numbers 2 & 5 counting left to right and down. Thanks for sharing.
  22. Thanks for the info. I'm signed up!
