Me and you both. And why is this? Because as a child we were taught to belive as our parents did, or as the bulk of those around us did. Was their thinking and beliefs correct? 10:30 pm here. Just return from a local Bike Nite at an area Harley Dealership / Bar & Grill. A couple hours ago just before dark & after eating, I walked outside the place to stroll over to the Harley Dealership lot which joins the complex. All the crowd was outside the bar where the music was being played. As I walk around I reached the far side where there were only 2 ladies gettng on their Harleys to leave. I had just walked by a line of Harley's parked under the porch. I reached the end of the line and felt something under my foot, as I turned to walk back the way I came I saw what I had stepped on. The tailend of a 4 ft black snake... now headed across the pavement toward the concrete and some parked Harley Dressers. NOW Let me that this oportunity to say... there is NOT a person in this state more scared of snakes than ME! That's physically impossible!!! I started talking to myself as I realized what I had just grazed with my foot..... as I retreated from the area I looked back to see the snake stop at the first Harley, it looked up and raised itself up to the bike and then disappeared into the bike. I now had reached a group of 4 guys, and I started to tell them what just happened. They looked at me as if I were full of sh**. About that time I looked back to see the snake come back to the ground from the other side of the bike. I said well look if you don't believe me. We were 40 ft from the snake. It went 5 ft over to the next full dresser, raised itself again and disappeared into the bike near the engine. Those guys and 3 others went over to see where it went. After about 6 minutes of looking for it in the bike they couldn't see it. One guy then went to the crowd/music area and had the DJ page the owner of the bike. Then 20 more folks went over to the bike to look for the snake. Ten minutes later after removing both hard saddlebags they still had not located it. A few minutes later the owner decided to crank the bike in hopes of running the snake out. He cranked it, after 1 minute he decided to roll it some. About 1 minute later someone saw it move downward toward the rear fender and spokes and they raked it out! CAN YOU IMAGINE leaving on this bike NOT KNOWING this thing was riding with you, only to find out as you hit interstate speed!

A new one ended on Ebay today for $205.

This past weekend I decided to loosed my exhaust can mounting bolts (at the passenger peg location) to see if either can had a tendency to reposition itself. Oddly the right side canister (the one that farther away from the bike center) wanted to be closer to the wheel by appox 1". Therefore I fetched a longer bolt, several washers and a spacer and reconnected the can at this position. Now from the rear, the bike is more balanced.

Before you return it... tune the jacket sleeve inside-out. Generally there is a velcro seam that holds the pocket for the armour shut (in place of a zipper). It sounds to me as if something is simply tangle or not closed properly in the sleeve. If the armour is missing the dealer can simply rob the armour from another sized jacket.

My opinion is NO. ....therefore you must sell them (TO ME).

So are you a photo buff, or just a normal male who like to view women (or both)? Did I not see a photo on-line somewhere you once took into a mirrored helmet visor? I thought that was pretty darn cool. I was once bigtime into photography?

LOL... that's funny right there... My basic rule of thumb about Deer, Groundhogs, & Dogs. If you can't see at least 20 yards of open space on both sides the highway... slow way down and open the eyes wider. Tree lined roads should never be run at high speed... especially at dawn & dusk... and more especially during mating season (the Deer's, not mine).

So with theses cans you must change the complete system? Complete, from header pies back, or just the cans? I suppose, since these seem to be positioned at a different angle, it's at least from the header pies back.

Somebody was a bit too board, and had a few extra $$ in gas money!!! Sooo ... next week, maybe you can look for Auntie Em & Toto to kill some time. Now this one was worthwhile! Nice. Actually... it should be "my clutch keeps on slippin, slippin, slippin, into...."

I may be misunderstanding your question... but once the gold finish starts changing/tarnishing ain't much you can do but get them Jet-Hot coated. You can try rubbing them with scotchbright as that may help the finish to be uniform.... alll it does is removed the surface of the more damaged areas.
