  1. I had to jump start a 2006 Triumph Speed triple today... The S3 only had 1450 miles on it... I finally got to use my mini cables that I keep on my V11 Sport.... I win! Richard Z.
  2. Completely under stand the email address concern and I don't have anything against anybody with that concern... I don't like being on email lists either. Here is how we got involved. She and a girl she is friends with went to a local pageant. My daughter won this free photo shoot and some clothing. Dresses etc. The company, Glamour Shots, put her image in this contest, and I've been forwarding it on to friends and family. The contest winner gets a US savings bond. Right now, probably not worth the paper it's printed on. LOL Here is the information. National Prizes: The National Grand Prize Winner will receive a $2,000 U.S. Savings Bond. Each of the other 3 Category Winners will receive a mounted and framed 20x24 portrait of their winning image. Grand Prize and Category Winners have the possibility of being featured in Glamour Shots advertising materials. Thank you all for your support. I did not intend to cause drama and debate. As a single father of 2 children, I do everything I can to make them happy. I apologize for my overzealousness. My son show's his motorcycles in shows about every weekend and this is how I get to have some involvement with my daughter. (We are competitive by nature in a fun way) Everyone can decide for themselves if they want to participate. I just posted this info. Only vote if you feel comfortable. Thanks Again, Richard Z.

If a moderator wants to move it, thats fine.... My children are the most important things in my life and I'll do anything for them.. Richard Z.

  5. Nevermind... I thought I read that as CANibus.... That would bring me down... Bud....... If bikes were made of it, they'd be Smokin'.......... Richard Z.
  6. Let 'em think what they want.... When I see a rider broke down on the road, It doesn't matter what they are riding, I'll help if I can. Well, most of the time. And you need one of these.... Richard Z.
  7. Having been through a terrible accident that was caused for the same reason, I can feel both yours and your son's pain. Pass on to your son to never second guess his reactions leading up to and during the accident. Not to focus on what he could have done different. Trust me. I have a terrible target fixation problem due to my accident. I know this might sound bad, but from experience. Don't Settle. Sue....... I chalked it up to a learning experience and will suffer the effects of the accident the rest of my life. I've been plenty out of pocket and I will never see that again. I've started my 10 year old boy in the motorcycling hobby. First building and understanding and soon street riding. I hopefully will never go through the same experience as you have. Be strong for your son in his time of need.. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Richard Zimmerman
  8. Neither the designer aka "Hack" nor the lister knows anything about motorcycles. I love this: It sounds like it just rolled off the F1 circuit and now it's coming for the women and children of a town near you!! You have to hear this thing. Any body knows a straight pipe VTwin sounds like a$$. Sorry if you disagree... Too bad he wasn't smart enough to build a proper exhaust system.. However, If it was a Scura to begin with. Bravo.... (Sorry, Had to do it. Internet sarcasm) On a scale of 1-10 I give it, Damn broke my scale..... Richard Z.
  9. BUSA = "Me Too" Bike... Sorry, it had to be said.... I like the Hyabusa, too bad every squid owns one.... or a GSXR1000. Both awsome bikes.... Richard Z.
  10. Paternity Test isn't in Yet....... LOL
  11. Yes I do. 4 year old Girl and 10 year old boy.... Here they are with the bike Trent restored last year. I still have to pay the mortgage, car and utilities for 3 years as spousal support. I don't get any child support since she makes only $400 a month at her job. I get to keep my 401k and stock intact. Richard Z.
  12. Work owns me and the rest of the time I have the kids.... Dragged out the Sport this morning and rode it to divorce court and then to work. Damn I missed riding..... Judge let me keep the bike and lose the wife... Good trade off I think.... Richard Z.

    Wierd tire wear

I have developed the same tire wear too. I have to agree to disagree with the road crown wear. I think that road crown is a major factor in my tire wear. Up until the end of last fall, everything was fine. The last 1000 miles on the bike since have been long rides with a passenger on Major two lane highways. That's when the wear started. All the riding prior to that was city riding. So I really have my reservations that it's turning radius that is the major cause of my wear. I first thought it might have been a tire defect. However after looking at it more, my rear tire has started to wear a flat section right in the middle about 2" wide. Probably caused by the extra passenger and luggage and a straight ride for a distance. I guess I'll have to rent the track again and fix my tire wear. The Bridgstone Battle AXE's are about to become the Battle EX's Any suggestions on what to replace them with. I really like the looks of the Dunlop D616. Any thoughts? Thanks to the original thread starter. It sure helped me out with the same problem. Richard Z.

    New Harley

I like this bike... I won't hesitate buying one if we ever get the chance in the USA. My question: Why is Harley Building a Retro US Flat Tracker for the EU Market????? Another reason I ride an Italian bike... LOL Richard Z.

    Whorage!

Done the same thing, just a bit different method. I used a flat piece of aluminum and bolted it at the mirror mount. I powder Coated it and used rubber fender washer to give it some flex. You can see it barely on the Guzzi in the Background in this photo. I also made it where I could remove it and use it on other bikes as seen on the Eddie Lawson Replica. Video of Hallett while I was riding. (BTW, before beating me up, it was my first time on a track of any kind.) Richard Z.

    Free Cat

How to make a cat Bark. Poor Lighter fluid on cat, light with match = Woof. Hope it helps. Richard Z.
  17. This project was a trial and error thing. I don't have much in it. The windscreen is about $50 and I have plenty of paint now. I thought I would buy another windscreen and do it a little differently. I'm think of purchasing a set of fairing mounted mirrors and taking the Bar ends off. Just wanting something a little different. Thanks for the compliments. Richard Z.
  18. I ordered an Eagle Decal. It hasn't arrived yet. I would really like to find the Eagle Emblem that is on the new 1200 sport. That would be cool. Richard Z.
  19. The one thing in life I don't have patience for is bodywork and painting. However, on occasion, I seem to put myself through the stress anyway. Anyway, the past year I've been running with a National Cycle tinted windscreen as pictured. It works well but just looks out of place. So, I painted it. Two weeks of evenings, I primed, painted, sanded, painted, color sanded, painted, sanded more, painted, clear coated, buffed and finally put wax on. The problem. I couldn't get the edges to hold enough paint. Every time I slightly sanded near an edge, the paint was too thin. Even with 2000 grit paper and wet sanding very delicately, I still got thru the base coat. I finally sanded all the edges round to eliminate the sharper edges of the windscreen. before: after: I'm waiting for the emblem to get here to put on it. Can't wait to get my first rock chip. Richard Z.
  20. Best boots I ever owned. They still look great after all these years too. There is one person on Ebay that sells them every now and then. I guess I'll keep an eye out for them. Thanks, Richard Z.
  21. Darn. Guess that means No.. LOL *Crickets chirping*
  22. Just as the title says. I need help finding a US dealer for Stylmartin Boots. OR a good European source that is USA friendly. I've googled etc. with no luck. I need a set of size 10US Stylmartin Versey Boots. I am retiring my 20 year old Stylmartin Eddie Lawson Boots. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Richard Z.
  23. Sorry for the blurred picture. I don't bend like I used to and I shake alot.. I got this last night. Had a friend do it at the house. Richard Z.
  24. Hey Bob, I have the rack, but I would like to see a short back support for the passenger. Something removable like the Corbin Lady Gunfighter.. I really like the rack. It's well made and my Nelson Rigg Tail Bag fit good on it. My girlfriend likes the addition of the rack. She can reach behind her and grab the crossbar when needed. Richard Z.
