  1. Martin - to date, we have 6 Buells and 5 V11's plus some other makes booked in.
  2. Antonio Yes, the 2005 UK V11 (with Buells) meeting is 15th/16th/17th July - all details are shown in the 'pinned' section at the top of this page. If you need any further help or information, please ask.
  3. Just to clarify, these are the definitive dates and all the details are still valid. As of this date we have nearly half of the hotel complex booked up .

    Look Guys...!

    Excuse the Russian T34.....
  7. 408 views in 3 days? Perhaps the topic title has something to do with that Not that I looked of course
  8. Jeepers creepers Martin! I hope the problem is resolved quickly. Out of all the new bikes I've ever bought, the Buell was the best lubricated at the factory. The V11 was the worst - perhaps Italians are allergic to grease?

    Happy holidays !

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from Yorkshire, England. It's not snowing.... yet!
  10. V11 owners are invited to these Buell events which I've organised for next year. Don't be shy, you'd be more than welcome to share the V-twin experience Sunday 17th April: Brooklands Museum - Surrey http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com Sunday 15th May: RAF Museum Cosford - Shropshire http://www.rafmuseum.org.uk/cosford/index.cfm Sunday 19th June: Bamburgh Castle - Northumberland http://www.bamburghcastle.com Saturday 30th July: Lincolnshire Aviation Centre (Main event) http://www.lincsaviation.co.uk Sunday 7th August: Squires Cafe - Yorkshire http://www.squires-cafe.co.uk Sunday 21st August: American Air Museum, Duxford - Cambridgeshire http://aam.iwm.org.uk
  11. This weekend is shaping up nicely and its only November Should be a good cross-section of bikes attending - in addition to V11's and Buell's we will have a 916 and a Fireblade Martin - Jane can't ride the S1 or the V11 - she's 'vertically challenged' so her feet won't reach the ground
  12. Keith - do keep up! Yes, it is instead of the 1st to 3rd July 2005. I posted about this further up the page..... There's no camping at this location, but there may be a site nearby or in the village itself. Its too early to decide which bike to use
  13. (Would some kind person with more technical ability link these details to the German V11 Sport web site) Details for this event are as follows: Friday 15th to Sunday 17th July 2005 Location: http://www.speanbridgehotel.co.uk Contact: Margaret Short Special rates for this particular weekend are: £60 per room/per night for double/twin en-suite £40 per room/per night for single en-suite Also available is a bunkhouse @ £16 per bed/per night: 2 rooms with 2 beds (1 set of bunk beds) 1 room with 6 beds (3 sets of bunk beds) All rooms in the bunkhouse are en-suite with shower facilities. They are only serviced at the end of your stay and do not include towels. Breakfast is £5 per person . The whole of the hotel complex is 'reserved' for our group. Please book direct with the hotel quoting 'Buell Group'. Cut off date for bookings is end of February 2005. After this date the hotel will start accepting normal bookings. So book early to avoid....blah, blah (These details have also been posted on the UK Buell owners web site) And finally, good weather has been ordered
  14. Hi Ferguzzi It will be Scotland 15th/16th/17th July 2005 I've just a few more things to sort out and then the details will be posted in the 'pinned' V11/Buell post at the top of this page. Regards, Chris.
  15. We went over the bike with a fine tooth comb while it was all apart - anything and everything was checked. Luckily, Moto Strada are only 8 miles from where I live and know what they're doing
  16. If having two events close together causes problems with family etc. I'll just do the one. I've organised the place for the 15th/16th/17th July weekend in Scotland and this includes a 6-bed bunkhouse (@ approx. £15 per person per night) in addition to normal en-suite hotel rooms. The cut off date for bookings is end of February 2005 but I expect most available space will go very quickly once I put the details on the Buell web site - but before I do this, is this of interest to my fellow V11 owners?
  17. FYI - the cause of the leak was the gearbox input seal. I was mistaken about it being engine oil. I now have a new clutch - replaced while it was all apart, a new main drive seal and new gearbox input seal. The breather system was OK. The work was carried out by Jason Sutcliffe at http://motostrada.co.uk - highly recommended. I can now look forwards to reaching 100,000 miles in complete confidence Fingers crossed etc. etc.
  18. Keith, this would be in addition to a V11 rally - which looks like it will be the 1st/2nd/3rd July. I thought it would be great fun to have both V11's and Buell's together
  19. I'm in the process of organising some Buell events for next year - one of which is a weekend in Scotland. Provisional dates are 15th/16th/17th July 2005. We'll be using a hotel/lodge near Spean Bridge, south of Loch Ness. Fancy an air-cooled V-twin weekend set in great countryside?
  20. Thanks for the feedback so far, 1st/2nd/3rd of July looks like the best candidate.
  21. We have warm rain May to September and cold rain October to April . Normally June, July and August can be good - pretty much the same as Holland I guess. BTW (Jaap) When is the Dutch Boxmeer rally next year?
  22. Looking ahead to next year Locations: Midlands (as this year) or Yorkshire Dales or Lake District or Scotland Dates: 17th/18th/19th June 2005 or 1st/2nd/3rd July 2005 Which would you prefer?
  23. Thanks Pete , it does seem that the breather pipe will need checking out. BTW, I've always used the same Motul mineral based oil since new and changed it every 3,000 miles
  24. Thanks for your valued input Pete, I will investigate further . What I can say is that the oil is from the engine and not the gearbox (first thing I did when I spotted the oil on the floor was to stick my finger in it and sniff it ) and there's engine oil in the bottom of the bell housing - but no clutch slip. The bike is well used, hence the mileage, but never thrashed.
