Slavo, I agree with Roy that there must be a short in the harness somewhere. What is the voltage on the Red/black wire?
Will she charge if you apply battery voltage to that wire into the regulator (applying battery voltage into the harness at the red/black may only induce the short!)
with engine off, ignition on, black-red cabel gives 12,58V (battery has 12,66V) headlight off.

That is my cranking voltage also (4 year old Hawker).
When my stator wire broke, the V11 ran for maybe 20 minutes, but then became very unhappy.
Slavomir, I'll have to go all the way back through your thread and try to understand better your trouble. Are all other Relay 2 functions normal? (headlight, horn, warn lights, brake light and tachometer?)
Thanks for your help Docc!
Brake light, headlight, horn all is working except tachometer
I use OEM rectifier now and have bypassed the charging circuit. Thick wire is going directly from two red cables in rectifier to 30A fuse holder and than to positive pole of battery. From negative pole, thick wire is going to ground of the rectifier. Blue cable from main loom connects to white cable in rectifier, red-black one is connected to the black one from rectifier. No other mods in electricity has been performed.

dear Guzzi, you defeated me... I give up
simple question, how long can V11 run from battery? In 4 days I have my track lessons. Without lights and all the stuff, it should take 20mins ride, than 40min charging and again. What do you think? Anyway, during cranking, the batt voltage drops to 9,65V. Should this be the problem?

SO:
I bypassed all the charging circuit by new, thick wire and external fuse holder
BUT: no charging though
Yellow wires from alternator gives up to 80V depending on revs.
connection between regulator and battery is strong - no drops
Rectifier disconnected:
multimeter set to diod mode, + tester connected to red cable from rec (that one that goes to battery), - trester connected to each phase going to alternator -> nbo response
- tester connected to red cable, + tester to each phase going from alternator -> roughly 0,5V
- tester to ground and + tester to each phase from alternator -> no response
+ tester to ground, - tester to each phase from alternator -> no response
so now I am really lost.
All three rectifiers, 1 OEM, 1 aftermarket and 1 from Joerge from Germany that was reccomended here gives the same result. And still no charge.
Am I right, it should be charging even when the relays would be blown? Wires goes directly from rectifier to fuse and straight to battery.

during summer I go to work on my Guzzi, and every day when going home in the evening I stop on quite remote gas station on way home. Station is quite remote and is off the main city, so it is quite calm and offers beautiful seeside to the country. Stop there, get coffe (Lavazza, hm!) and newspapers. Relax and enjoy the end of the day. One day a little, bit fatty, boy (8yrs or so) came to see the bike. He was holding an ice cream and licking it wery loudly. Hi! I told him. Hm... You Man, he told me with excitement, how fast does this thing can go? Hm. Pretty fast, I replied, 220 KPH. Sorry, I thought this bike can go MUCH faster, he replied and walked away. That was the only moment I regret not having and R1

aha, story goes on.
not charging, melting 30A fuse. Blowing 15 fuse on lights. So i am taking spare wiring loom from Ebay and let's see where is the gremlin now

Raz: We've got 'em for $39.95 US per side, so with shipping it'd be about $110 for both sides.
Greg, can you quote shipping to Czech? I tried to send you PM but it did not allow me to
thanks

meanwhile...
I found one of my valve guide is gone, as well as one ventil, so these needs to be replaced.
Friend of mine played a bit with my heads:

I think I'll have a CZECH (Czech and Slovakia separated in 1993) lager for St. Patrick's Day to celebrate.
enjoy!
-
Forget it. No chance. Your shop can take any guide they have in stock and adapt it, make it fit. Anything else is crap.
Hubert
Thx for help, will do like you suggest!

Greetings All!
Just a quick question - can i swap valve guide from C11 to V11 head? One of my guide and valve in V11 head is gone BUT I have now one spare C11 head with guides in good condition. Are there any trouble getting the guide out?
thx for help!

back to my top end troubles, I was told that best valves are non-magnetic, have you heard anything about it?

Greetings!
I have complete front fairing for V11. Originally this was from Rosso Corsa, than painted gloss black, than scratched slightly on circuit. Needs new paint but has not been broken or repaired. Pics upon request on "tauryii (the funny thing) centrum.cz".
Fairing bracket is also for sale.
Also, I have another spare side parts of fairing I purchased on ebay last year, these are broken and needs to be repaired.
Will wait for a week and than sell on ebay
cheers
Slavek
