  1. I have had this software for a couple of weeks but not owning a Carc guzzi have been unable to try it out although from what I have read on the forum it works fine. The developer is also close to completing diagnostic software for the p8/15m/16m ecu. I bought the leads from ebay for £15 delivered next day.The software author has also a program for tensioning ducati belts. The forum is in french with an international section. With the help of google chrome translate I have learnt alot. The software is free but the developer accepts donations. http://ducatidiag.xooit.com/index.php ducatidiag tool (5am ecu): http://jpl250rs.perso.sfr.fr/download999/Ducatidiag22.zip Example leads: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OBD2-Diagnostic-Cable-Adapter-f-Fiat-Alfa-Romeo-Lanica-/380320514802?pt=UK_Diagnostic_Tools_Equipment&hash=item588cde82f2#ht_3655wt_989 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140541643123&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_3366wt_905 Paul Minnaert of mgcn has put a page together about this diagnostic software, if you are not fluentin dutch google /google chrome translates: http://www.mgcn.nl/dameijer/Software-voor-je-injectie-Guzzi There is also another diagnostic tool in development, it looks very basic but works ok so far. 2. Sorry Gino I somehow managed to miss your original post, you managed to get the tank off then! Glad you got it sorted.
  3. Thanks for your update and pictures, I cant see obvious differences in the U.S fuel cap. Well done for getting stuck in. Oh those (not so) quick disconnects are such fun, maybe I should have posted these: What I don't understand just now is why your tank is leaking fuel in the first place, did you test that the pipes within the tank were intact (by attaching hose to spigot under tank and blowing whilst blocking the outlet vent in cap? Withou any hoses attached to either of the spigots the tank should not leak fuel unless tipped right over My head is mince just now but I will re-read and digest later.
  4. "are you ok ?" she says. I think his gonads may disagree.
  5. I enjoyed that. Some lovely machines. Thanks for sharing.
  6. Blimey, gives you paddock nerves n'all. Must be good. Trouble was that was 8 seats in and the cinema was full, I had to wait just over an hour but still managed to watch the end credits before I had to run.
  7. My left eye is too weak for me to see 3d. Not a problem as Linda and I saw it last night in Edinburgh shown in 2d. Really enjoyed it apart from needing to pee after an hour in.
  8. Out of interest post a picture of your gas cap open so I can figure how the u.s. differ. I would personally remove the tank to check it out. You need to identify that the tank breather is clear and if the internal hoses are in place. It can be simply done by attaching a piece of hose and blowing through and see where it comes out. If you don't need the vapour recover system and one or both hoses within the tank are damaged or un-repairable the bottom vents could be blocked off and cap modified to vent.
  9. Had a closer look at the vents on my tank today. I think the vents on the U.S. bikes may differ a little due to having a different cap and the vapour recover system. The tubes inside the tank looked fairly rigid,I was wondering if they were not originally like that and have hardened over time,I wasn't going to take the cap off to investigate. I'm thinking that if it's not a bloked breather then maybe one of the tubes inside your tank has got damaged.
  10. Maybe worth a watch. Pity I cant see 3d movies! http://www.tt3dmovie.com/

  12. I think the boot comes as part of the wiring loom you could replace with some heat shrink or you can get right angle heat shrink boots at a price.
  13. Google or ebay 'Banjo bolt hydraulic/brake switch m10x1mm' seem more common with tails on but not really a problem. guzzi part (22 on diagram): 14657050 BRAKE SWITCH New Number 06261020 http://www.dirtbikebitz.com/venhill-banjo-bolt-with-brake-light-switch-p-7526.html £11..99
  14. I would guess that your breather pipe (connects at 'e' in top photo) is blocked either inside the tank or the hose is blocked or kinked. If your fuel vapour system ( I take it is a US bike) was connected as it should have been to point f (the part that is now leaking) and the breather was blocked this would have caused the vacuum inside the tank as the vapour system uses the vacuum points on the inlet manifolds to suck vapours from the tank. It now seems that the shop has disconnected the vapour system so the suction has stopped but with the breather blocked the tank is pressurising which is causing the leak that you now have.Maybe.
  15. This is about the Scura 'R' not the original Scura
  16. They have snow chains instead. http://www.guzzioverland.co.uk/
  17. I had one before the Rosso Corsa. There are quite a few in the UK a popular colour on the later sport.
  18. Looking at photos in an earlier thread the photos show that you have later version selector gears in an earlier version cover, I wonder if this has anything to do with your problems as the later covers had a 2nd eccentric adjuster for the pawl arm the earlier parts diagram also indicates two versions of the pawl arm (ratchet). I'm thinking that you may have a mix and match selector with compatability/tolerance issues. Have you tried getting hold of a complete replacement selector?
  19. I dont think that leaving the domed (acorn) nut off will make any difference as the adjuster is locked with the other nut against the threaded hole on the casing. Is it possible that the eccentric adjuster for the selector shaft has been wound in too far either binding on the lower selector or on the selector shaft. Without looking at the mechanism I would assume that there would only be half a turn of adjustment (quarter os a turn each way from centred position) and if adjusting you would need to know and have marked the central position to make the minute adjustments accurately. Personaly I would take the selector plate off and centre the adjuster visually and to ensure the selector was wound out enough so that it was not binding but I would think you could find the upper and lower point of the adjuster by putting pressure on the foot lever whilst turning the eccentric adjuster through 180'.You will then need to make very small adjustments until it is set to the correct position. It will also be important to check that the external linkage is positioned correctly on the selector shaft as this could affect the range of rotation of the shaft. I wish you luck as it is going to take time and patience to get it sorted.
  20. Sorry, not for me, I prefer the original http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0zv3M2ZNBU
  21. That was taken at the V11 meet organised by Belfastguzzi over in Northern Ireland earlier this year. Unfortunately I wasnt there either, that is one of Harry's pictures.
