  1. Docc, I and the rest of the (male) riding public, thank you. Joe
  2. Okay, let me make a plea for new additions to the thread Gratuitous Pics of Girls + Guzzi. We all could use some more of that. Joe
  3. I'm not sure, but I think it might be chipmunks, squirrel, maybe even mice eating the gooseberries. Rabbits are possible, but I haven't seen many of those. Chicken wire would stop rabbits, but not the small vermin. If it was rabbits, at least I could eat them. Finnish Content: The Finns are big hunters, and I suspect would welcome adding small game to the pot.
  4. Last year I planted five Finnish gooseberries, Hinnonmaki Red. Now I'm having problems w wildlife eating my harvest. That's my only connection to Finland...but how often can I bring up gooseberries in a Guzzi forum?
  5. At least one of those welders wasn't wearing appropriate protective clothing. Not that I mind.
  6. Obi Wan says; "Be mindful of your thoughts, Luke. They betray you."
  7. No love for Aprilia scooters, eh? Sad. How about for an old bacon-slicer?
  8. Let me bring this discussion back on point. Instead of Guzzi cycles we have Piaggio scooters. Close enough?
  9. Reading through old posts, I had to reply. I first started this book at 22 yrs old, and put it down. I felt like there was no Zen and no Motorcycle Maintenance. 30 yrs later, at 52 yrs old. I read it and understood . The relationship between a Man and his Son, and between Him and the World. What a change. Reading a guidebook on what was going on Pirsig's life help me appreciate the book. He was mad, but wasn't bound by the invisible chains that bind most of us. A solid read, even if I don't understand every last word.
  10. Not really "all the gear, all the time" attire, except for the boots. Bonus points for use of Leopard. And I don't want to quibble, but isn't that setting for a photo shoot somewhat odd. In front of some industrial excavator or something? There's a story behind that.
  11. Docc, I can't help you. I snagged that image in an online search. Oddly, it was titled "Moto Guzzi V50 big block cruiser." Which makes no sense at all, but a fine looking woman can often addle the mind....
  12. Actually you made me take a closer look at the bike, and...is that an aftermarket oil cooler? How is the oil circulated?
  13. Docc, here you go. Thanks for the praise re op keeping a thread up. When the thread is girls and Guzzi, it's no work at all.
  14. The small block rules! Interesting that some themes cross cultures.
  15. Ok. I also have the standard Breva map, before I altered it (should have said that in my first post). If interested, let me know. Good luck.
  16. I just made a map for my 09 V7 (the "old" twin throttle body engine), but it's for the MyECU system and the map was created for the bike's 820cc big bore. Previously, I had knocking under acceleration right at 4k rpm. This existed even with the stock pistons, and the big bore pistons worsened it. MyECU allowed me to adjust fueling and spark to correct the situation. Also attached is the map I made. It has spark retarded approx 9 points to prevent knocking (lesser amounts still had knocking), and injector duration is increased by 8% to account for the big bore cylinder. I'm open to ideas, since I'm just beginning. Edit: the forum won't let me upload the file for some reason. Message me and I'll send it to you.
  17. I've been watching the V11 forum, and we need a refresh to this topic more than ever.
