    Took the nail out expecting the worst... but it was only 7 mm deep in the tyre. No puncture! Tomorrow... Thanks for the input though. Btw, I found a shop that repairs tyres by vulcanising the hole. This guy doesn't use plugs of any kind. But before he starts repairing he looks if there is any damage to the tyres' radial steel belts. If so... new tyre.

    The nail is still in and the tyre keeps its pressure. I don't know what will happen if I take the nail out. The tyre dealer said not to use a repair set, but to change the tyre. I expected this answer from him of course.

    Went for a ride today. Mirrors turned out to be very good. A little fuzzy @ 120 Kmh but plenty rearward view. And I don't have to tuck in my elbows.

    Sorry David, I had to take out the explicit pics. No need for those on this forum. FWIW, Comparing Bush and Cheney directly to Hitler and Goebbels is a bit too much, even for my taste. This thread bis very close to being closed and NOT archived.

    I just bought the Aprilia Tuono mirrors. Same ones are on the new 1200S. I checked them in my garage and I don't have to tug my elbows in that far anymore to see the cops chasing me... They were dirt cheap, btw. € 21,- a piece.

    Hi Mdude, I just bought the last one (so they said) at TLM. There isn't a brandname on it, but is the Stucchi type and built quite well. Fitting was no problem. To be honest, I thought it was rather expensive. But buying it saved me a custom exhaust set, so it's all relative.

    Forget about paint numbers... Just do search on this forum and you'll find lots of frustrated owners. Best thing you can do is go to a good paintshop and have him match the paint.
