  1. sp838 ? Thats the one yes, thank you. Knumbnutz, As much as I want to use fork mounted brackets for the headlight........ Being the, "Purist" that I am..........I might just completely relocate the oil cooler right up front on the forks and incorporate a headlight with something like a light bar assembly on either side. http://www.kchilites.com/light-type/led/flex-led/flex-led-10-array-spot-add-on-50w-ea.html Maybe one bar on each side? Excessive? PROBABLY. I could easily find two smaller round lights and and build a old school retro number plate like from an old motocross bike and use that as a trip for the lights and the Oil cooler. I am a little disappointed in the Powder coat on the pegs, Its already starting to wear hater 3 days work of riding, I guess I expected it to last longer? Scud, if your reading this, how are your coated pegs doing? Cheers!

    Props to Scud

Props indeed. Happy the plate is on. Definitely made it an easy transaction as soon as I figured out how Paypal works and what the Canadian Dollar is worth! ! Thanks Scud.
  3. Finally got the MotoGadget Mini dash finished with some help! And The Moto M-Start RFID Sensor is in a discrete location, too. (Too Cool) New Reservoir Hoses and ditched the stained yellow tanks. Among a million things that were powder coated, I forgot to send out the Kickstand and headlight bucket. I am thinking of getting a new light bucket all together, will see. Look No Keys anymore! Just like my Jetta, (That is soon to be bought back by Volkswagon) As for the tail, I have a little flickering brake light relay switch and programmed 3 way signals for either side. (REALLY BRIGHT) Now I need to measure my forks and buy a proper Headlight Bracket. Off the top of anyones head what is the size? Forgive me I forgot the members name but he directed me to a 3d Printing site for the Moto Guzzi Emblems in different colors and materials. Ill need to order a few off him him and his 3d site. Likely in a Gunmetal grey to provide some contrast. Next on the List is Paint the Jugs, and Repaint the PorkChops.
  4. My bike was hit but no worries she stood up well. However a few things are damaged, I suspect this one particular piece could be a weak spot so I am looking for a replacement. brand new its 230 bucks.......CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT! If anyone has a lead Ill still pay good money for one! Just not 230 Item 2 in this link. http://www.stein-dinse.biz/eliste/eliste_bild.php?sid=b4b4gb99cd1ga6d40a0g&lg=de
  5. Ill just VENT a bit. A Person hit my bike today with their vehicle while backing up. (Thankfully it didn't fall over but it was pushed back about 2 feet). I wasn't around. She was trying to get out of a parallel parking stall, I had given myself ALOT of room, she still hit me. Witness said she realized she hit something lots of people turned and shouted at her to stop, which she didn't apparently, nobody got a plate either. Only thing I can see broken on it is the Flange between the engine casing and the oil sump (connected to the kickstand). Luckily I have replaced this once before. Echo Cycle in Edmonton can get me the part for 79 CDN and the gaskets and oil filter for another 25, didn't need new oil but might as well get her a new filter too. Harper is 200USD for the flange, Why the big diff in price? Parts will be two weeks. I think J&B weld can be a decent temporary fix for that. Im more worried the other flange where kickstand is attached too will fail. Uuuuuuuuuuugggggggg. Ill lick my wounds and fix this thing.
  6. In the process of doing this to the clutch and break Reservoirs. If it turns out it looks like garbage.......Ill just try again! Recently purchased is the MotoScope Mini, motoscope mini indicators and the M-lock (with the little rice RFID pill thingy) All slowly making their way in with the help of some talent. My bike is going to see quite the transformation up front.

    Tail Tidy

I am going to have a slightly modified FBF tidy tale I could give away in a couple weeks......but as I write this i notice you in Australia, and the shipping might not be worth the squeeze.
  8. Thanks for the thoughts JRD! Finally bought a new charger for my computer and came here! I have to hand it to my wife, she strapped our 9 month old to a Tula baby carrier, made three trips to the Jeep with all she could and a few days supply of milk for Hunter and tossed the cats into the kennels It was chance that I had filled up the tank the night before, she was lucky it still only took her 7 hours to drive to Edmonton. I had a terrifying phone call from her while I was at work prepping for my flight (which I still dont know why it was dispatched), She was screaming, and just as worse I could hear Hunter screaming, and the bloody cats. There I was helpless at the airport not able to get past highway 69 to 63 wondering how bad it really was getting. She was stuck in traffic with embers hitting the jeep and wind shaking it and flames......well, some saw how close they got. While she was stuck in traffic I believe she said she watched the fire/embaers travel to Kal Tire overhead and then it began to burn. Propane tanks exploding at the Centennial Trailer park on the immediate other side. Im sure many have seen the pictures and videos of what has occurred up in Fort McMurray, did anyone happen to see the one guy on the Harley trying to get out of one of the areas affected most, Beacon Hill? He looked.......HOT. Still cant believe that fire jumped the highway as quick as it did and destroyed waterways. When I first moved here I was a bit of a vagabond, I lived in each on of those locations and each one of the residences I lived in is now gone. The Condo we live in is right beside the firehall, it was saved thankfully. In my place have a deep freeze with about a quarter of a cow left in it and no power. Its going to stink. I fly for one of the oil companies up here and my hats off to them for supporting the employees the way they have, (And the entire country of course, thank you). We spent the week flying women children and pets from Mildred Lake, and mainly sent support/security north, and some folks to relieve the more critical positions they keep the mine running. I flew the last bunch out on Friday after they announced the complete evacuation. If your ever in Edmonton looking for a great hotel, the DoubleTree in Mayfield has done nothing short of an exceptional job accommodating my family and our cats as well as hundreds of others, great choice. They have made customers for life. Were flying folks up tomorrow morning early to put the plant back online, I believe Suncor might have already started too. Thanks for thinking of me and the rest of us up here. Rich
  9. In the process of getting my porckchops powder coated, Jugs, rear sets, pax pegs, also the triple tree, headlight bucket, and light trim. Installing some smaller gauges from Dime City black. KPH of course, on the fence about also installing a voltmeter. A friend is going to do some fabricating for the new look of the gauge cluster area. I have a cool idea for redoing the reservoirs on both sides. that will be a surprise, but will post pics as soon as I can. I am also on the fence since my electrical controls are so faded, I am debating going with these motogadget handlebar buttons. If anyone has any experience with them I would be happy to know. http://www.dimecitycycles.com/motogadget-black-housing-m-switch-control-switch-with-3-black-push-buttons-for-1-handlebars.html After watching a video on youtube I am certain I can make my own LED turn signals front and rear and position them a little better. I did spend a few dollars getting the smoked covers for my guzzi last year so those will be going up for sale soon enough. My tidy tail is also going to get a make over and be even tidier after looking at some other options. Not sure what to do with the car brake light. working on something there. I even though if installing the brake light between the rear seat fairing and the seat assembly itself......working progress. It is the first of 2-3 major moves I plan to give the V11 a refresh. I will eventually be looking for new clip ons, completely repaint the engine this winter. and likely move to Stacks for intake and clean up that whole inside. Lots of good motivation here to push me to do these do these myself and good direction on how to do them as many things have already been done. Pics soon!
  10. Hope Im only partially hijacking your thread.....Is that fast idle supposed to have a couple of stops/more tension on it? Ir is it supposed to be loose? When I select mine after starting it it just gently springs back, doesn't hold. Is that normal? I read here that someone figured out a mod to uses theirs as a secondary throttle..... Please and thanks......Also, if mine turns out U/S or broken and I need a new one......Scud you selling one? Thanks, R

    pork chops

Ooooooh just another item on the list for this winter.
  13. Thanks JRD. Whoever screwed on the stem head bit must have used lock tight or had the power of Thor at his disposal. Im only assuming cause I know the front end was reworked right before I bought the bike. Ended up using a special bit to remove stripped pieces. It was almost like a twisted Robertson head. Anyways, it is out, and the plug is on order!
  14. I have been trying to remove that cap for two days now! Is there anything under it that I might bung up if I leave it exposed? http://www.amazon.com/Ram-Mount-Motorcycle-1-Inch-Black/dp/B001RHVS8I It was my intention to install that in the center.
  15. Jet

    Ram Mount.

Thanks Alf, Did you have much difficulty removing the two aluminum pieces from your LM? It appears on the small cap there is a slot for a small pic or flat head to remove and pop it, but each time I try to wiggle it out I just cause more damage.
  16. Eventually Ill have to contribute something to this very helpful group. But today is not that day. Soooo, I would like a ram mount installed in the center of my Triple Clamp. I did a search of the site and spoke to Scud, Big Thanks. I peered onto the Stein Dinse page to look at the exact two pieces that would likely need removing for it to work with the style of Ramp Plug I would like to use. But, they wouldnt budge. Maybe they are tight, or maybe they wont budge for a reason. Is there anything stopping me from from using this is an install point? Scud suggested the Ram ball mount that attaches to the stock mirror attachment which is conveniently vacant since I use bar end mirrors. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0036G97DG/ref=pe_385040_128020140_TE_3p_dp_1 http://www.amazon.com/Ram-Mount-Motorcycle-1-Inch-Black/dp/B001RHVS8I I believe those are the two pieces (13 and 14) on the map.
  17. Scapa, for a light citrous flavour. Delicious. Bruichladdich 22 year old if you like Caramel. And the go to dram is Chivas 12 or 18. Has anyone ever had Japans Yamazuka, am I spelling that right?
  18. Good point Scud, It was pretty much difficult cause I have large mitts and its rather petite under there. As per the Stiendezin website it appears I had all the necessary bits, but it looked like there could have been room for at least one more washer. Maybe Ill go see if anything is rubbing or out of whack. Doc thats a great idea. I look at the rear and and noticed the Left or right, (I think right) exhaust was just a tiny bit crooked, or so it appeared to me. I have seen others mention this. I noticed the the two flanges that connect the muffler to the peg brace are shaped slightly different. I have a spare set somewhere, Ill go take a peek at to see if its the same same. Also ack from a big BRAAP, lol. Still hella vibration in the bar ends but manageable, Ill survive, Manic Salamanders will be ordered soon enough.
  19. If you want to torture self, (if you have large hands) install whatever this bushing part is and spend about 1hr on it like I did. Im not sure if it will help tame down any vibration, I noticed when I took the pips off for ceramic coating it was missing. Folks at Moto International set me up and sent me everything I needed. It was such a pain to install I had to remove both cans, and unhook the hangar that connects the two just cause its such a tight fit. Im thinking a saw and a hockey puck may also have worked just fine. I Suppose its a good day to go for a, "BRAAAAP" as kids are calling it these days. Ill report back if any vibration was reduced.
  20. I am in the process of having mine Hydro Plated. I purchased a second pair off of Ebay and swapped the Carbon Fibre sleeves for my dark purple exhaust.......Looking forward to a new look! Good Luck. The process my Hydro Plating guys uses is Prep, Primer Plate and Then Clear Coat, costing me about 200. I didn't think it was all that steep considering the lengths we discussed he would go to make it look perfect.
  21. Love my Pazzos! Vasty improvement on the stock levers.
  22. Sorry, I am of no help here, but, did you repaint your engine casing? If So, Which paint did you use? Please and thanks...... Sorry for the Hijack. Good luck though! Rich
  23. Aaaah, You know I did a long drawn out thanks to those who supplied me with the tools to fix this, and now I See I never pressed, "POST". Well, in the end between a friend of mine with amazing Saudering tricks and some shrink wrap, we replaced 7 ground wires, and 2-3 other wires that seemed to get caught in the cross wire. Worked for us cause the bundle was tucked away pretty right under the ECM, so we moved some wires around and now it makes re-attaching the ground wires to the battery much easier. Really, I fused 7 ground wires int one big one. As Kiwi_Roy said, it really makes you appreciate a cute little 12V battery.....Thanks Kiwi for the drawing.....now onto fix my kickstand.......AND Casing Flange.
