Where did you get the Bar end mirrors and did they fit directly over the weights?
  2. Ha! I went from a /7 to a 2001 V11 sport this last August. What you are likely to find is... Torque is more "brutal" on the V11. And obviously the Guzzi has a lot more power to it. I have the clip-ons so it's not the best traffic bike.Constant Stop/Go wears out your wrists. But on a highway or any open road... it's effortless compared to an old R bike. Caring for the Guzzi is as easy as on the R bike. As in, non need to take the gas tank off to set your valves, no special tools etc. Parts are a LOT more difficult to find for a V11 than even for a /5... but thanks to the Interwebs it can be done. Word of advice... Watch them brakes, they are awfully more powerful than old beemers, and V11 although they don't feel it... are really heavy bikes. I have an entire new front end and the scars to prove it...
  3. I always wondered, does that mean leaks, dried up seals, gummed up fuel pumps etc etc. Or do they hold up okay?
  4. This looks like a sweet deal... Wish I was in Cali... My link

    Koso and headlight replacement

Just pics of a mounted Koso set of dials and new windscreen and headlight from Aztec8
  6. Did you remove the seat cowl? ;-) Just kidding.
  7. I used the mounts from the old/broken dials, removed the spacer and screwed them directly into the tree. I figured the rubbers would work well. Then I used flat bars to attach the koso bracket to the rubbers. Works pretty well. I plan on replacing the screws and washers with something nicer, but the position is perfect.
  8. I just finished installing the Koso RX1N, works well. I intend to install a micro relay/opto coupler /ssr to get the fuel gauge working properly, shouldn't be too difficult. I have 5 long months of winter to get it done...
  9. Seeing those almmost make me regret selling my old beemer. She would have looked good as a naked cafe bike. And then I think of work, the kids, the wife, the house, the dogs, the honeydo lists, the music and all those other projects I don't have time for... aaaaaaand I don't regret it that much.
  10. Wow... the alu tanks look fantastic! Love them. But... how much?
  11. Found one from a member here. Found another one overseas, but shipping would kill me. Yeah... real winners...
  12. Believing has nothing to do with it. The tubing on the right side that goes diagonally down from the rear shock to the main part of the swingarm is bent outwards, and has cracked the rear mudguard.

    V11 swingarm

Need to replace the swingarm on my 2001 V11 sport. I could use a rear mudguard too.
  14. Long story short. Crashed my V11 Sent it to a shop. Got them to repair the handlebars, and replace the rear tranny cover seal. I was going to replace the dials and headlight myself. To replace the rear cover seal, they had to remove the swingarm and the drive shaft. The incompetent idiots apparently didn't notice THAT THE SWIGNARM IS BENT!!!!!!! SO freakin bent in fact, that IT CRACKED THE REAR MUDGUARD!!! How BLIND do you have to BE to MISS THAT!??!! Sigh... Anyways... there's a Centauro swingarm on Ebay. Looks the same but I know, looks can be deceiving. SO... does anyone know if a Centauro swingarm will fit on a 2001 V11 Sport? Thanks.

    KOSO RX2N

I just purchased a RX1N and am planning on installing it in the next few weeks. I am thinking of adding a solid-state relay (Opto coupler) in order to reverse the signal of the fuel sensor and get the fuel gauge working. Is there a good link where I could get a wiring diagram of a 2001 V11?
  16. Saw more than one shifter available on Ebay.
  17. I "fiddled" constantly with my 77 Beemer for 6 years. I decided I wanted to just get on and ride and didn't want to fiddle anymore. No power-commander for me!
