I have old MOTs which seem to verify mileage. I adjusted the lever/play, but it made no difference. It disengages fine, which seems to suggest the operating mechanism is working OK. I 've just lost drive progressively over a few days. There aren't any unpleasant or unusual noises (beyond the normal clutch rattle). Having looked at the other threads, the plan is to remove the engine. If I can get a RAM unit, I think that's the way I'll go. Did you need a tool to lock/compress the springs to remove the old clutch? The RAM one seems to come ready assembled, which means I could manage without a tool to centre the clutch (?). I had a look at the manual and there's not a lot of detail. I'll have a good look at the old threads and I should be able to muddle through. Cheers

Hi, I have a 2002 Le Mans Tenni and the clutch is slipping and getting worse by the day. The bike has only got 13 800 miles on the clock. Sadly, only 800 of those were done by me. There's no sign of oil at the gearbox/engine union. I tried the lever adjuster, but that didn't have any effect. I've had a quick trawl of the clutch replacement threads. I've changed a BMW clutch before, but I'm not too sure I'm up to doing this one. Can anyone give any insight on the availability of parts and the options for replacement. I haven't taken it apart yet, but I'm thinking it would be a case of replacing clutch friction plate and pressure plate. Am I correct in thinking like for like parts for the single plate clutch aren't available? Had a look and Gutsibits have a complete replacement RAM clutch, though I haven't checked on availability yet. Any wisdom appreciated. Simon

I saw that pic on here recently. I think it's from a Laverda SFC.

2002 Le mans Tenni and it has a plastic shell and a plastic reflector. I saw some replacement headlights from China on Ebay (item no. 121110416854) for a reasonable price. They are listed as Guzzi V11, but they seem to be suitable for a range of BMW models too.They look identical apart from the reflector having no recess for a pilot bulb. I was thinking of a new reflector, a Cibie maybe, as the headlight isn't very good. Was thinking the 7" would fit, but I'd welcome any guidance from someone who has improved their headlamp. Simon

I got a numb hand/tingling so I bought some 'grip puppies'. These are foam tubes that slip over the grips. Much to my surprise, they have helped a lot. Will have to get round to TB balance soon. Hoping that might make a difference too.

Thanks. Is this adjustment purely for tick-over speed? It is good at the moment. Adjusted R/H TPS a couple of months ago and it did improve running. Just got a manometer so wanted to check balance too in hope of smoothing out some vibes. Simon

Hi, the guidance on the thread about Tps and balancing is comprehensive, but there's one part I am seeking clarification on. When balancing the throttle bodies and using the left idle scew to set the Tps to 0.521 volts, should the bike be running or not? Will it make any difference either way? Thanks, Simon

I like the idea too. Tried to order from the UK and the price with postage was over $65. The postage charge was going to be $43.50. Don't know why it is so expensive for a small item. I've had parts from the US before and I can't recall such a high charge for postage. I think I'll be sticking with safety pins for now. Simon

That's bad luck. I've just bought a V11 Tenni and I'm planning a trip to Spain. Your post has filled me with trepidation. Can I ask what spares and tools you did take with you?

Hi, I've just bought a Tenni. I think it's the one listed only a few posts above-No. 17. Only rode it home so far. Changing a headlamp bulb then slipped into giving it a good going over. Waiting for some small parts, then looking forward to putting some miles in over the summer. Managed to 'bag' some Tekno panniers and frames on Ebay too, so foreign shores beckon. It's in North East England now. Simon
