  1. Well tbh I'm just concerned for the bike. Although she is running quite well at the mo, the bike seems to be putting out more heat than before. Only change I've made is to install new silencers. I wondered if the lambda, or summat else, was interfering somehow. It was suggested that i get the vag cable and 'do the guzzidiag'. But this is all new territory for me.
  2. Ah, i forgot about wildguzzi, cheers fg i'll have a look.
  3. The mivv silencers i've fitted have resulted in seemingly quite a lot of engine heat. There is a mistral crossover, with lambda, installed too- could this be a problem? I've just got the necessary cables thru from lonelec but to say electrics isn't my strong point is an understatement. I've looked at the info available for guzzidiag etc and it may as well be written in Greek, Swahili, Double Dutch etc etc. Could someone be kind enough to point me in right direction and tell me "It'll be ok son, don't you worry." Big Ta
  4. It seems they were brought out at the same time as the 1200- same weight-ish, smaller displacement, had the 4v head. Spose once they put 4v heads in the 12 it was kinda redundant?
  5. You don't see 'em around much- however, I did happen upon one whilst stopping for a brew on the moffat run a ways back. Looked stock i think, apart from the cans and 'bars, and very nice... Almost as nice as my v11

Aye, me n the missus went a couple of years ago in February to escape the winter- best long weekend ever! Wandering around a stunningly beautiful city, scoffing tasty snax and enjoying being those foreigners that wear t-shirts when all the locals have their furry warms on. Haa!
  7. I eventually traced my rattle to the headlight... That too sounded like it was coming from the engine when riding.

    Cracked mivvs

Indeed, i didn't realise how loud they were till i was off the bike- this is with the killers in as well. i had the oe silencers on whilst waiting- eerily quiet but they do look good. I think mg got the design spot on. i'll pinch my neighbours gopro and attempt a running soundtrack at some point cos the mivvs really sing, absolutely lovely!

Think so? They run along a weld line. I'm surprised they got sent out, unless they wanted rid of some 'seconds' ?

Aye, i've messaged mivv directly, no reply as yet. The thing that really piddles me off is at some point i'll have to change my forum avatar.

I'm inclined to agree. However it took 40 days to get them sent from italy to the uk... The thought of returning them and waiting for replacements fills me with misery.

Alright All, can i get opinions on this? I ordered some new silencers from mivv and when they (eventually..) came i noticed a couple of cracks in one of them. See pix below. Obviously they are purchased 'new', but will they be ok? Worried these cracks just likely to grow and grow with use. Should I be concerned?
  20. I had that when i over-tightened the shift lever.
  21. If your main concern is reliability...... Get a honda. No, really, or a kawasaki- they're awesome bikes.
  22. Admittedly i live in ol' blighty, but i find 70-80mph to be a delicious place to be on my unfaired v11...
  23. Looks gorgeous on your nero mate
  24. No probs. No, not goin tut staff meet- unfortunately Wednesday neet is quiz neet at the local pube. We won second last week so have ten quid behind the bar. :0) ... hic ...
  25. I've got a balliblio handle bar going spare cabs, give us a shout if interested. Incidentally, i've just gone the opposite way: Renthal ultralow off and tarozzi high rise clips on. The renthal was ace, very comfy and you can tweek the forks up n down in the yolks for satisfaction- just 10mm either way seemed to make quite a difference.
