  1. You hanging out at the Lion's Head for a while?
  2. Got it home...kept it under 2k, run up and coast method...no rattles. I will mess with it later. I can't see anything serious...dealer did service and oil change a few thousnad km ago...I ran it hard today, but last 50km was easy running conserving fuel to make it home. No oil light when I pulled into the gas station...stayed on after fill. Weirdness. Thanks for the offer. I will be wandering around town on my white Stelvio instead tonight...lol
  3. Going for it...wish me luck...lol
  4. Phone doesn't like this forum. Sitting at Chevron trying to decide whether to risk the 2.5km home...no rattles, 26K km. Has oil in it.
  5. I will call...trying to figure out why my oil pressure light is staying on. .ran perfect....shut it off to get gas. Start up and oil light stays on...oil in it, no rattling, but I am rattled...lol
  6. Nice! You fighting fires in Nelson? I think I may pop in there right now and see if I can get two LeMans in the same place at one time! Have to find somewhere for lunch...lol. I'm in Castlegar.
  7. Love the Laverdas! Always wanted a Jota myself, but the 750s are pretty awesome bikes too (someday I want one of each and a Moto Morini 3-1/2...lol). I am thinking about flying my LeMans to Germany to ride the Alps in 2017. I am committed to another Yukon/Alaska trip next year (probably on my Buell X1), so the Alps have to wait for more holidays.
  8. I just switched from Angels to PR4s. The Angels occasionally scared me in the wet...so far the PR4s are awesome. I expect them to be awesome for a long time!
  9. First ride of the season my speedo cable broke. I ordered an OEM replacement from the local dealer which was going to take weeks, and one from Moto International, which was aftermarket, but only took days. The aftermarket one was completely different (straight ends), but technically fit...it lasted a week, and now I am riding by tach again. The local dealer supplied me one that did not fit, as the diameter of the transmission end was completely wrong, and it did not have either of the angled ends that my original has. Does some one have the actual Guzzi part number for what I need? My dealer has emailed Guzzi, but I have no idea where that is going to go...they really do not know Guzzis.
  10. Plenty of good music in this thread! Rockin' blues and guitar rock for me: Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, SRV, anything that Gordie Johnson touches (if you haven't heard Grady check it out!)...Rush, Big Sugar, Big Wreck, Floyd, Paul Weller, Thin Lizzy, the Hip...as long as it isn't country, rap, free form jazz, or modern pop I can handle it. I saw Rush last year in Vancouver, and they were amazing (so were Big Wreck and The Hip). In the last six months I have purchased CDs by: The Hives, Alabama Shakes, Gin Wigmore, Nazareth, FM, Sabbath,Tragically Hip, Floyd, Bob Marley, Foo Fighters, Finger Eleven and Lee Harvey Osmond, to name a few. Music is very important to me, and I go out of my way to see it live. Thanks for the Rory Gallagher vid. Really miss him and Gary Moore.
  11. Gorgeous bike, don't change a thing! (Identical to mine except for the exhaust...lol)
  12. I recently picked up a 2011 Stelvio 4v Great bike, but nowhere near as exciting or as fast as the LeMans. I got a 2000 DR650 the next day. I'm almost all set...lol. Wouldn't mind a V7 to make a scrambler with. Hey Don G, can I come visit some time and check out all those Guzzis? Sounds like it would be worth the ride from BC.
  13. Still no shirts? I need some Guzzi shirts in the worst way!
  14. Yukon Brewing "Lead Dog Olde English Ale". Yummy, full flavoured...rivals my current go to beer: Vancouver Island Brewery "Hermann's Dark Lager"...had a couple of those today too...lol.
  15. Wow, there are some very cool bikes in this thread! Besides my 03 LeMans, I have a '77 Harley XLCR Cafe Racer,a bunch of Yamahas ( FZ750, RZ350F2, two XS650s,'84 XJ750, XJ 550, XT350, XT550, IT400) a few Hondas (two GL1100, GL650 Silverwing), a DR650, and a bunch more dirt bikes and projects. I have picked up most of the bikes I drooled over as a teen and young adult, but I would still like a CBX (and maybe a V-Max, FJ1200, Jota, and a CX or Seca turbo bike to complete the collection. LOL).,,then maybe I could start looking for an RSV Mille and a Quota. So many interesting bikes out there, so little time...especially now that I only want to ride the Guzzi on the highways and the Harley around town. Everything else is collecting dust! I can see a few bikes moving on to new owners eventually (the Secas and the Hondas) to make room for the tastier ones. My friends tell me I am a borderline hoarder, but what do they know when they only own two bikes?
  16. Hi, new guy in BC, Canada. Just picked up my dream bike, an `03 V11 Lemans. I`ve wanted a LeMans or v11 Sport for at least 25 years...finally found the right one. I am smitten! This one is magic. The previous owner replaced the fork internals, and added the race exhaust and Power Commander. I can`t believe how well this thing handles on the rough roads around here. All but one of the rest of my bikes are now gathering dust.
