Was that an option in the 'old' forum? Moving posts from one thread to another could possibly mess up the 'reading experience'. Anyhow, I couln't find a setting to accomplish this.
docc
Understood. Yep, there were times that a conversation would break out within a thread, but off topic and with the consent of the participants, I would build a new thread from those posts. All good. Thanks, Jaap! Lucky Phil
Is it just me or dont individual posts have an identifying number anymore? Ciao

Scud
The identifying number was pretty handy sometimes. I missed it recently when I wanted to refer a conversation about RAM clutches to a specific post I had made with pictures and weights of all three clutches. It was nice to be able to point other readers to a topic and post number - or paste a link directly to that post, rather than the start of the topic that contains the post. BTW - thanks for all the work on the site.
Admin Jaap
Thanks! There is a share option in the top right corner of every post. If you copy the link and paste it in your post you get something shown as this:
Scud
^ yes, that is exactly what I did. And like your example, the link goes to the first post of the topic, not the specific post that was selected. Previously, the link would go directly the post - even if it 10 pages deep.
docc
Hmm, when I copy&paste that share link it goes to specific post I selected. Important to select "Display as Link Instead" . . . https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?/topic/12664-steering-head-check/&do=findComment&comment=239202

docc
Looks like that is what we get before selecting "Display as Link" Instead?
