Lucky Phil Posted Thursday at 10:41 PM Posted Thursday at 10:41 PM (edited) WD40 is a lubricant, always has been. It just not it's primary role and it can't be compared to an oil but it is a lubricant and works well for machining materials such as aluminium and tapping threads in Aluminium as well. https://www.wd40.com/myths-legends-fun-facts/ Phil Edited Thursday at 10:59 PM by Lucky Phil 1
Gmc28 Posted Thursday at 11:48 PM Author Posted Thursday at 11:48 PM absolutely a "multi talented" product, but sometimes used wrong, and it shines as a water displacement product. and Phil, i just got off a zoom call with fellows over in your part of the world, 3 guys from CASA. They were rubbing it in what crappy weather I'm having here in Oregon at the moment. I rode to Portland intl airport last week to park the bike there for a week while I went to Tucson (sunny and 84f...), and had to shove my wet gear into a side case and let it mildew there till i got back for the not-so-pleasant ride home. Got lazy and spoiled over the summer, but its officially very over now. 1

The best use of WD40: I'm sure most of you have experienced how an aluminium ladder can squeak when one is climbing up it. Loud, annoying, and slightly disconcerting. Squirt a small amount of WD40 at each end of all the rungs, and the squeaking stops.

gstallons Posted Friday at 07:38 AM Posted Friday at 07:38 AM If you've never heard of Nashville, they make Kroil, GooGoo Clusters, Moon Pies and somethin' else but for the life of me I can't remember what else ? 2
gstallons Posted Friday at 08:05 AM Posted Friday at 08:05 AM Some trade publications ( you remember, these paper things that came in the mail) had an ad saying 2 cans for free from Kroil, just pay shipping. You could get 2 lg. cans for X amount of money. 1
